Some of us are just like fine wine. We get better with TIME. Lots of it.

Saturday November 22, 1980 Tulane game
It was a COLD rainy night. I was in Jr. High and froze my butt off in the old (new at that time) upper west side. But I was hooked for life!
LSU 24 Tulane 7
I've missed less than 10 home games since then.

I was too little to remember it, but I know it was Oregon State in 1982 w/ my Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, and Uncle. South Upper, Section 16, Row J, Seat 39. My Mom actually found the program from the game a couple of months ago when she was going through a filing cabinet. My grandpa had written "Steven's first LSU game" in black marksalot on the cover.
My grandpa, who just died yesterday at 93, first bought those season tickets when they closed in the south endzone in the 50's, and we're still sitting there today.

Fl State...in the early 80s
Also went to Miami game in early 80s and Tulane in the dome. I was into before the age of 10.
I was around 7 or 8 I guess. One of the games (FL state or Miami) it rained like hell.
I remember the DKE sign..."tigers stop the Semenholes, we wear Trojenz"
Got to LSU in 94 for Curley and the 6 int Auburn game. I do remember the excitement when we took out Auburn and the "magic was back"

Ohio State, 1987. A tie.
Oh, to the earlier poster that said MSU in 97 or 98, it was 98. LSU 41-6.

My first game was the Mississippi State game in I think 96 or 97 when Eddie Kennison had the long kick return for a TD. I think I was about 11 or 12 years old then

I don't recall the exact year....but I believe it was in the early 80's...LSU played Rice in Tiger Stadium and Jeff Wickersham was the QB for LSU at the time

I was at that game in the old Tulane Stadium. My senior year in high school. Believe LSU was up only 7-0 at half time, but ran wild in the second half.

First game? Auburn. 1988. Earthquake Game. I was 14 and my uncle gave me two tickets. I got a family friend to take me and we traveled a couple of hours to go. Mindblowing. That is my strongest memory of Tiger Stadium. By the way, the roar when Hodson hit Fuller was so lud because of all the pent up emotion. We had been stuffed the whole game and that drive had a couple of 4th down conversions. I think that we scored on 4th down too. What a game.
