yeah, I'm sure a lot of them tailgated outside the stadium for 6-7 hours but couldn't spend 3 hours inside the stadium watching the actual game. To each his own, this just isn't my style. For me the actual game comes first, then everything else is secondary. I'm not there to be seen, I'm there to watch football! Again, I'm not one to complain when others leave the game, I just don't always understand it.

It's not about "can't" it's about want. People don't want to go the whole game without smoking so they can leave early if they want.
Until LSU provides an area for people to smoke people will continue to leave early for this reason. I don't understand what the big problem is anyway...the Saints provide smoking areas outside at the Superdome. shite they even provide a tv for the smokers.

I go to some UGA games with some friends here. The dad of one of the guys comes sometimes and always leaves between somewhere early in the 4th quarter to beat the traffic and have enough time to get to his car to listen to the rest of the game on the radio. It always baffles me - especially when the game is good.
The only out I'll give him is that the guy does have a four hour drive to get home. I'm sure it's nice to get to hang out with his sons, tailgate, etc. and then not have to wait in 1-2 hours of traffic for his ride home.
