that hit wasn't targeting, but the rule has literally always included leading with parts of your body other than just your helmet.

I mean False Starts on Centers are typically pretty rare, and I would liked to have seen what the hell he was doing on them.
Was he flinching? Moving the ball?
maybe doing some sort of head movement that was intended to be a silent signal to rest of line?
