Yes. Kidding around. Crews was fired up and leading the pack so JJ grabbed him and laughingly pushed him to the dugout to prevent an “ejection” which wouldn’t have happened regardless.

Gotta get the gay stuff in when ya can. Doing it when out there celebrating is best.

Was wondering the same thing because Beloso and some of the other guys were throwing it down and CJJ grabbed Crews. I guess he obviously was thinking let’s get him in and whoever else is out there can get thrown out.

Yea, Jay was just making sure Crews didn’t get tossed. He was out there leading the charge

I was just coming here to ask about this. Here's a twitter link to the video

You can see JJ grab him towards the end of the clip. Thought it was very odd

Saw on Twitter that someone said Crews' language towards the orange team was getting a little spicy and JJ didn't want Crews to get ejected. Which we know SEC umpires will do in a split second.

* I don't know if the above is accurate but seems like it would be.

Crews is probably a little to fired up, especially for him, who usually shows very little emotion.

I could see the scenerio where he is tired of losing to UT and the way they act in winning and is a little amped up for this series. Johnson just controlling the situation like a HC is supposed to do.

Honestly, Crews was probably just the closest one to JJ in the moment. You can see Jobert getting pushed back by another coach as well.

What was that

LSU had already been booked a warning after Dugas homerun for coming out too far on the field. Jay wasn’t about to have his best player tossed or potentially suspended.

SEC umps this year seem to be actively looking for any infraction when it comes to celebration. It’s pretty petty and ridiculous.

You can see that Jobert is being escorted back to the dugout at the very end.

There are rules about how far into the field they can celebrate. I wasn’t there but I saw someone say they were already warned so you don’t want anyone to be ejected from the game because they would be suspended for the next game also.

He just seems to be the one farthest out of the dugout to me so he grabbed him first
