Florida knew they were doomed at that point even though they were leading at the time.
. Not really. As I recall after all that hoopla yelling for a another team, Florida marched right down the field and scored no problem after that.

He’s right.

They announced the USC loss at 7:49 left in the 3rd after an LSU TD to cut it to 17-14.

Florida went on a 5 play 75 yard TD drive to make it 24-14 capped off by a 37 yard TD pass to Cornelius Ingram who had no one within 25 yards of him.

I know, but I 100% believe in the back of their minds they knew they were going to lose.

Don’t know about loudest, but his best call over the PA may have been in 2011 as Tyrann Mathieu was dominating college football. After the extra point following Mathieu’s strip sack and td against Kentucky, Borne announced,

“For those keeping up with stats, that was a a quarterback sack...Tyrann Mathieu. A forced fumble by Tyrann Mathieu. A fumble recovery for...Tyrann Mathieu. And a touchdown by... THE HONEY BADGER!”

This was before people outside of TD was calling Tyrann “the honey badger”. I knew then that Borne was a follower of TD.

Kevin Faulk punt return vs Houston in 1996 and Mauck to Skyler Green vs UGA in 03 was the most energized I can remember hearing him

Yeah, I never cared for the "scooooores" thing either. Just a copycat of over-the-top soccer announcers.

This - and it’s way past his time to pass the seat for Basketball.
