I'm watching the West Virginia - Pitt replay on ESPNU right now. I normally have nothing against WVU but that loss sure made my evening.

That whole weekend was too much! The pure agony of losing to Arkansas the week before and then the stars aligning to propel us up the rankings was incredible. Will never forget it.

The Florida Gators by FAR. Im sick of my friend who goes to UF talk shite about how fricking awesome they are because they can destroy shite teams, and how Tebow is the best player EVER, and then he comes up with so many fricking excuses when they lose that it gets REALLY aggervating. Can you tell that he hits a nerve?

Why the obsession for some, with USC?

I'm sure as a USC fan its hard to see, but their seems to be a tendency by the media to place USC Football above all others. It is striking to me that USC could suffer losses against "supposedly" inferior teams the last few years and still maintain their lofty status as the darling of college football.
They are alot like the Patriots of the NFL. Everybody knows they are good, but want to see them lose.
The other thing that has been bothering me lately is this whole Reggie Bush thing. Apparently, the incident is "very complicated" because their seems to be no resolution in sight! It just seems like the NCAA is trying to turn its head the other way on this one. Why is it so hard to figure out and why is all of this time going by without closure? I'll tell you why; its because they are waiting for the right time to give mighty USC a small slap on the wrist for violations that they deem to be "minor". Nothing is going to happen despite the evidence that indicates otherwise.
Additionally, they play in a conference that presents a couple of challenging games each year and that is it. Its easier to stay healthy in the PAC 10 than the SEC. With all that talent, the road to the BCS Championship is easier. Alot easier. No conference championship game to boot. I know I know they dont control that but the fact is, its easier for them to appear dominant and for the media to prop them up each year.
Back to the original subject. I was not in TS that night when they announced the score to the USC/Stanford game. I was however watching the last few minutes of that game and enjoyed the drama of that unbelievable Cardinal win! You had to love the David & Goliath scenario. It would have been like LSU losing to Tulane.
Anyway, thats some of why I like it when USC loses.

ANd LSU's losses last year were to "superior" teams?
To address the latter-- Well, going 70 and 8 over the past 6 seasons, winning or sharing six consecutive BCS concerence titles, 2 NC's and bare loss for another, six striaght BCS bowl games (5-1), 11, 12, 13, 12, 11, 11 wins in each season, and finishes of 4, 1 or 2, 1, 2, 3 or 4, and 2 or 3 will tend to get you media attention.

The NCAA relies on hard "evidence", which Lake and his attny admitted that they do not have.

Currently it's probably:
USC
Bama
Auburn
Florida
Notre Dame
USCe (not because of the team, but the coach)
Ole Miss

How convenient. The money had to come from somewhere! I would love to be able to hear the crap that Bush and his parents are being told to say.
As for as their record the last several years, consider it "tainted" by the schedule they play. You have heard it a thousand times, but what would that glittering record be if they were playing Florda, Tenn, Ga, Aub, Ala, etc...sure they beat Auburn and Arkansas in opening games inside of the last 10 years. How about a steady dose of tough games in 3, 4, sometimes 5 consecutive weeks? I would tack on another 7 or 8 losses to the overall record. Now, what would LSU or Floridas record be in that same span had they been playing in the PAC 10? Any other SEC team for that matter!
LSU's 2 losses last year were against teams that were not too shabby. Dont try to compare losses between LSU and USC. LSU was not favored by 40 in one of its losses.
Not saying they are not any good. Just saying they arent as good as portrayed and have under acheived if you go by all the hype.

I can't believe we're 5 pages into this topic and I'm only the 3rd or 4th person to say Auburn. I know it helps our SOS and all that BS, but I hate Tuberville more than any coach in America and I hate AU altogether.
