Hey dumbass I talked to one of the 3 guys in the room. Miles was never offered the job! They came down so it doesn't blow up in there face when and if hoke tanks. Why do you think they didn't give miles a raise? This is not speculation jackass it's what went down.

The vehement opposition to Pelini as an option surprised me the most. I thought BP was well liked around here and seems to be doing a good job at Nebraska. You would think tiger fans would pounce on him as our HC if Miles were to leave.

A year ago you'd have been right... his repeated sideline meltdowns had something to do with it.

And who could forget Eli Manning tripping over his own feet in the 2003 game?

Right, because if he didn't, he was going to convert the 4th down and lead them down the field against the best defense in the country after having lead Ole Miss to approximately 7 points that day.

In addition, Manning tripped over his lineman's feet, largely due to the fact that Lavalais pushed him backward with such force.

I wouldn't cite that particular example as luck.

I'll give you the Bluegrass Miracle.

And need I remind everyone how many losses LSU had when they won the 2001 SEC Championship? It would be the equivalent of South Carolina winning the SEC this past season.

We had the same situation in 2007. We would have still won the West had we lost three games in the SEC. We didn't expend all three losses, but the lucky situation was there nonetheless.

A couple of thoughts / observations:
1) Bo P is a terrific D Co-ordinator, but maybe not such a great Head Coach.
2) The level of play (and coaching)in the SEC the last 5 years versus the previous 5, is higher, as evidenced by the recent domination in not just the National Championship but overall BCS games. I think that many concur that the real Nat Champ. game has been the SEC Championship game for the last few years.
It ain't broken, don't fix it.

My point is that Miles is not the only coach that has recquired crazy shite to happen in order to win.

Amen and Preach on brother Rocket. I remember what a Saban fan you were. You know how to get on with life and be happy. Some folks on here can't, won't, or don't really want to do that.

That people believed Les was going to Michigan. Thought it really shouldn't, because as long as I've been an LSU fan, our "fans" have been worried about pretty much every coach leaving for another job, including the 3 we fired for losing believe it or not.

He was liked because he was a good DC and we won a NC with him. That doesn't mean he'd be a good HC let alone one that could win titles. His seeming break downs on the sidelines at Nebraska, especially vs A&M are troubling. There are much better coaches out there.

When was Curley going to be offered another job? I don't remember LSU fans ever worrying about that.
