No. He just asked who would I want, not who was available.

I don't know who actually was available and would even consider the job. If I knew those names, I could tell you who I'd prefer. I mean, I would not want Pelini. But, if it was between Pelini and Orgeron, and that was the only 2 available, I'd probably go with Pelini.

You like results, I like SEC West championships. And to the person who said something about women's bball.... I'm not against progress, I'm against overpaid coaches.

Championships are included under the umbrella of results. And we've won the SEC West twice during his tenure. You just don't like the guy. And results have nothing to do with it.

I like Miles, I think he's a great guy. But you're hanging on to championships from 4 years ago with another coach's player. I like Miles, i think he's a player's coach and a family guy. He represents the university well. He also hasn't won a championship in quite a while and could have easily had 4 lossess last year whether you want to blind yourself from that or not.

I'm not gonna argue this anymore though ... so I'm done in here.

There is no doubt that he has love for Michigan, and coaches like Miles (loyal ones) tend to end up back home at some point.

BOOM!

Of course he loves Michigan. Why wouldn't he?

But for whatever reason that motivated him he chose to stay at LSU even after being offered a $500,000.00 raise.

For the first time since Charlie Mac and Jerry Stovall we have a coach who WANTS to be at LSU.

Les is THE MAN.

You're incorrect. You are basically saying Miles should win it all every year to win you over and basically my assertion about your position towards Miles is correct.

could have easily had 4 lossess last year whether you want to blind yourself from that or not.

But, we didn't have 4 losses. What actually happens matters, not what could have happened when it's all said and done.

I would be too if I were you. You're afraid to admit that results have nothing to do with your disdain for Miles as our coach so you are trying to convince me they do matter and you are coming up short. There will always be people who try to pretend that results have something to do with their disdain for Miles and they will always be unpersuasive. They have never accepted Miles and never will.

What more do you want me to say? His results, the past 3 seasons have not been good enough.

A dropped pass by UNC, a miracle against Tennessee, a perfect bounce as if the ball was round against Florida .... those results aren't good enough. You can go to sleep at night happy that Miles had the luck of 20 leprechauns, but i'll live in the reality that we were vastly more talented than those teams and barely scraped by when others were handling them. We will always lose at least two games with Miles, and in a sport where one or none is needed for a national title - that isn't good enough. Those "results" are not good enough.

Now I'm done. Does that satisfy you?

That results, contrary to what you've been saying in the last couple of posts, have nothing to do with your disdain for Miles. If you had accepted Miles, his past accomplishments would be equity to you.

That's weak

I don't have to be satisfied. Like I said, there will always be folk who are going to be afraid to admit that results have nothing to do with their disdain for Miles.

Did I think he was a poor replacement? Sure.

Did I think two losses during Jemarcus Russel's senior year was at least one two many? Definitely. That's the most dominate team we've had.

I was happy in 07 with the results, but definitely not how we got there. Losing the last regular season game with everything to play for in our home stadium and backing into the national title with two losses.

We all know about the next two years. 5 losses then 4 losses. Being blown out often. Not to mention the Ole Miss debacle where Miles single handedly lost the game.

And last year I've laid out in detail. He won because of fluky plays and luck.

And what may be "weak" to you isn't weak to me. I think its a solid argument.

It's unconvincing. You're just afraid to admit that the results have nothing to do with it. Scared. We won 11 games this year and you still wanted him gone. Like I said, scared.

There is nothing immature about laying out the situation. You're unpersuasive in your efforts to convince me that results have something to do with your disdain for Miles.

I'm not trying to persuade you. You're an old man, a long time fan and your entitled to your opinions which are just as informed as mine.

I'm simply laying out my argument to a point of satisfaction that you understand my logic, not to the point of persuasion because that's impossible. There's a huge difference. I understand what you're saying ... all I'm saying is I disagree and here's why.

Yeah, you've spent several posts trying to.

And your argument isn't cutting it. We won 11 games and you still wanted him gone. That proves my assertion correct.

That's all I've been saying. You just are afraid to admit that results don't have anything to do with it.
