What should be O’s narrative to his players and coaches this weekend?

Coach O has a narrative every weekday that he uses for players and coaches like “Tell the truth Monday” He needs one every weekend based on the opponent LSU faces. What narrative should coach use this weekend vs Miss State?

This one, “Don’t shite the bed Saturday, make them wanna crap, every snap every play” we can save for another game. LSU likely won’t shite the bed this Saturday. Most of us just don’t want players or coaches to lay off attacking State during the game. My preference is…

“It’s pedal to the floor Saturday, don’t let off the gas, kick dat #ss!”

Wonder what Saban uses as his "narratives"? Probably not a damn thing other than win every play and trust the process. Funny how he never talks about "getting motivated" to play the next opponent. It's not about being motivated. You should already be motivated. Being PREPARED should be the narrative.

But when he loses, it’s the first thing out of his mouth. Remember “Brook Trout Look?”

I recall when he lost to Utah, he blamed it on the media and fans not being excited enough to play Utah.

God, what a sad thread. Like has already been mentioned, coaches should only be worried about preparation. If you can't get up for an SEC game GTFO.

Yes! If you can’t get fired up for an SEC football game, go play chess in the park.

That this season isn’t near over yet, and LSU still controls their own destiny. Sure we aren’t gonna beat Bama this year, but if I’m O that’s the narrative I roll with. Still a long season left, a lot of games to be played and we control our own destiny. Take it one game at a time, continue to get a win every weekend, and every thing else will fall into place. Don’t let the outsiders make noise, all players should just have their heads down focused on going 1-0 on a week to week basis.

if the ref spots the ball 10 yards away from where the player went out of bounds, maybe talk to the ref about it?

You’re Jordy right?…..

I mean, probably not, but I had assumed you were a big donar at first….but a lot of your posts are similar to Jordy’s podcast themes.

Clearly we saw a motivated team this past Saturday night. I felt the energy when I woke up that morning. It just felt different.
Let’s hope that same energy carries over to Starkville. If so, we will have a good one in TS next Saturday night!

He should what he normally does and what every decent leader does.
1) pump some iron to remind himself that he can kick a man’s arse
2) take a game day walk in the park with his squeeze
3) punch himself in the face to set his jaw and get his mind right
4) tear random pillows in half
5) yell loudly to get points across to his team
6) yell louder when they inevitably don’t understand
7) keep yelling until he no longer has a voice
8) clap incessantly
9) rip smelling salts
10) repeat

The fact that we haven’t lost back to back games against this team since 90-91 and that O holds the record for the largest margin of defeat and the most pass yards given up. These make this a big game for O. If he wants to hang around it’s probably a good idea the players know this is huge for him
