What percentage of the fan base still thinks O was the right hire?

I’d imagine last year around this time it was somewhere around 60-70% either supported the hire or were somewhat indifferent.

What do you think that percentage is at currently? I think it’s growing smaller by the day.

And at the admins anchoring the thread. Lord knows we wouldn’t want people to read what LSU fans actually think about the program. Pomnanski get to y’all too?

60-70% that supported the hire? Not even close.

Best case ever was probably 50/50 between fans that know football and paid shills + Facebook moms that thought O was a cute story.

Deep down and I mean waaaayyy down 20% of fans would objectively say it's a good hire

I wouldn't say it's a hire though. It's just one big experiment

the fact anyone supported this hire speaks volumes. He's the worst hire in SEC history.

Why ? Because we lost to an 11 win troy ? In case u forgot we are playing on NYD against ND with a chance for 10 wins. However I think we need Aranda and Raymond to build a defense that can dominate and get us to Atlanta. If we lose Aranda I don’t see that happening. We better hope it doesn’t happen anytime soon because another regime change and we are the next Tennessee for sure imo. We need O to win. We need Aranda to build a defense that can be 2011 good so O can win. Otherwise I can almost promise you that Lsu will be the next Tennessee and we will fall to the bottom of the west

Or were indifferent. A lot of fans were just happy to see Miles go and we’re somewhat indifferent about Orgeron.

He's a good recruiter and he has kept a stellar staff in tact (although that will likely change today)

I don't blame people for having hope but, this will not end well

I guess we will see after todays game.

With a win I don't know how anyone can say his first season wasn't a success

A loss will bring even more of the anti O's out of the wood work.

You sir or madam are a drooling imbecile. The admins have allowed a lot of both pro and con comments. Perhaps you have had a thread anchored because it was stupid?

And seriously get over the Pomansky shite. It is old, stale and juvenile by now.

Now just sit back and enjoy our last football game of the season, if you can.

There was NO search for a true HC. Hiring Ed O was a completely lazy on Alleva and Scott Ballard. It's amazing that LSU couldn't sell itself as a great program to at least one of many more qualified HCs.

LSU hired a journeyman DL coach that NO other university saw as a HC. Think about that.

This. I wasn't happy with the hire but it's done. There's nothing I can do to turn back the clock. He's our coach and I hope he kills it because that means LSU football is killing it. A 9 or 10 win season in the first year is respectable. A 6-2 SEC year is a slight improvement. All the bitching and moaning for the last year has served no purpose.
