I swear you guys act like a 1 game suspension is like jail time.

If Chip decides to suspend him, I really don't care. I just don't see it happening unless there is more to it.

The guy driving the car is indefinitely suspended and won't be player. This fact should not be lost on people.

Yeah, but the legal issues are for Oregon law enforcement and the courts to decide. Kelly decides what happens as far as the team goes, and hence I say the legal aspects are irrelevant. Its that act itself that matters, and a message needs sending.

I have even had people spell it DRO But really my last name is boudreaux and dreaux kind of stuck with me as a nickname.

Members of the Oregon team were traveling down a highway at 120 mph smoking weed, and that is just dangerous.

If they were drunk, Mothers Against Drunk Driving would be protesting outside Chip Kelly's office day and night.

But here in Oregon, marijuana is not viewed as much of a crime at all and there's no Mothers Against Stoned Drivers taking up the cause.

So while you may be right, this won't end up being a big deal.

Especially when the news breaks on the same day Yahoo Sports drops a 10 story about Miami.

Instead, it'll be more story to laugh about how everybody in Eugene is stoned out of their minds.

That's what I thought.

Oregon coach Chip Kelly has met with suspended cornerback Cliff Harris and linebacker Kiko Alonso, but has made no determination on when they will return. Harris is already out of the LSU opener, but Kelly didn't indicate how much longer he might miss.

WOW!!! He was in a car where the driver was cited for excessive speed and a passanger smoked weed. Suspend. Him. Jeezus.
If this was the first time DT found himself in this kind of situation, I'd be tempted to agree with you.

It's actually the third though. And yeah, for that...I'd hope Miles would suspend him if he was an LSU player. Sounds like trouble seems to just find itself near him all the time, but of course...he didn't do anything...

I've done 125 but I was stone cold sober so it was on a lonely stretch of blacktop in Eastern Oregon where you could see 10 miles in all directions and I hadn't seen another car in a while.

Smoking weed and driving 118 mph just doesn't seem to go together..... High and driving 18 mph sounds more like it

You have no horse in this race either, do you? Besides, none of us know the truth. Chip has been good at doling out punishment.

Chip has already said there won't be any punishment for DT. This info is not new to anyone that frequents boards and UO personel. It's news to people that only know what they see on local news.

Do you know what the other 2 times were? Prob not so I'll fill you in. Two years ago Masoli got pulled over for a rolling stop out of a restraunt and 3 years ago DT was a passenger in a car that his buddy crashed trying to do a Tokyo Drift.

And there was pot in Masoli's glove box during that incident.

I don't really care other than Darron Thomas's passenger side adventures sound like some awesome material for the Fark Board.
