The case for suspending him is being in the car. They were all riding down together from a parade that they attended as a team function. Harris decided to drive 118...last I checked it wasn't a student driver car where Darron could brake and slow the car down.
118 mph not the only thing that went wrong in that car

No, I knew Darron was in the car when this went down. It was reported alread

O so heS in a car knowing there's weed. But u don't think he deserves a suspension. He's just a football player, lay the fricking law on him.

Also, your star quarterback did multiple offenses before getting kicked off the team. Darron will not be suspended. Btw, I called for Cliff's suspension on here.
Didn't say kicked off, said suspended. And I hope you called for Cliff's suspension for driving 118 in a car where weed was smoked. Personally, I think every current player in the car should be suspended, doesn't really matter what team they play for.

LOL. Yes. Suspend every player on both teams who have smoked or been around people smoking in the last year. There would be about 8-10 players remaining total between our two squads. Some of you older folks are so naive it's hilarious

In LA, if a car is pulled over for doing 118, there's a smell of pot, and an admission to pot use.......the car and and everybody in it is getting searched from top to bottom. Pretty sure the K9 unit would roll out too just to make sure

Thanks for your opinion. It sucks. He won't be suspended.

As passenger.
Weed was involved.
Brah, this is Oregon.
That's no crime.
I'm sure he had a doctor's note for the pot.

In La., anywhere along I-10 but let's say Jeff Davis Parish, you'd be 1000% correct.
But on I-5 in Oregon, not so much.

Stallsworth then asks “Who’s got the marijuana in the car?” Harris responds “we smoked it all.”

WOW!!! He was in a car where the driver was cited for excessive speed and a passanger smoked weed. Suspend. Him. Jeezus.

Correction, he smoked weed. Don't give me that crap that he didn't do it. IDGAF if they suspend him tbh, but seriously, they were all smoking including Cliff and Darron, you know it and I know it.

The legality in this case is not the issue here. Members of the Oregon team were traveling down a highway at 120 mph smoking weed, and that is just dangerous. I'm sorry, but at 120 you need to concentrate and weed doesn't help. They were a danger to themselves and others and the coach should make a point. The people in the car were friends, so they could have talked Harris out of driving so fast, and they could have talked him out of smoking weed. So they were all complicit. All of the passengers should be suspended for a game. I don't care that everything took place in permissible Oregon. This is a question of responsibility, and they weren't.

Btw, the only passengers were Darron Thomas, Tyrell Irvin (graduate DE that is not current), and Cliff's cousin.

I know. Who would ever believe that kids from Eugene were smoking pot? Shocked, I am!
Serious question (to anybody who knows the answer):
Did we ever find out where they were driving home from?
I assume they were just cruising the freeway to GTFO out of Eugene or maybe they went clubbing in Portland because there's not a whole hell of a lot to do (outside of Corvallis) between Portland and Eugene for a hellraising college student like the hellraisers in that rental car.
You can get higher than a Lear Jet in Eugene. There's no reason to leave town. Not that there's anything rational at all here.
