Perhaps there are too many to consider right now--when you include the history beyond McDonald. Alvin Dark and Joe Adcock were two LSU baseball players who made marks in the world of baseball.

Does anyone want to tell him?

Kramer Robertson since his mom is inevitably getting a statue anyway so mention that's his mom.

Yeah. I think there are so many that you can make a case for, and each for different reasons, that it makes the correct answer "none".
And I don't mean that as a knock on any players. It's more a statement to such a rich history of LSU baseball.

Agreed. LSU should hold an "auction" among the former players to see who wins the rights to the first player statue.

Warren Morris is known for possibly the greatest moment in college baseball history.
Definitely him.

Mascona blowing Theriot would be fitting.

A statue to capture LSU baseball in a nutshell is the Warren Morris HR. I would say it’s similar to the Gleason statue outside of the Superdome.
The 1st LSU baseball player to get a statue is clearly Ben McDonald.

Beau Jordan getting hit by a pitch or throwing the UTx pitcher a bird.

A statue of Morris getting carried with his fists raised would be pretty awesome. Would be huge though.
Agree but they already have that in Omaha

I was thinking more like the statue that sat outside Rosenblatt and now TDA

I never understand how so many players get mentioned in these threads before Eddy Furniss. He's without a doubt the most accomplished player in program history in terms of statistics, records, awards, and team success combined.
