I've watched every inning of every game this season...I'm not alone on my assessment or my opinions..

If he's so weak and slow, why does he have a higher slug and more total bases than Milam?

Just because you've watched every inning, doesn't mean you know what you're watching... as this thread proves.

Thanks for the fun!

Good, hopefully he can turn things around and be a relevant addition to the team....so far hes just average. He's not what Tiger fans thought we were getting.....thank God for Tommy White, otherwise this team would be the laughing stock of every defending national champion not named Mississippi St

What did you and Tiger fans think you were getting with Braswell?

What did you think you were getting? I feel like you saw "black guy" and thought "fast". Did you complain about Tre Morgan's speed last year too?

Holy overreaction batman... you have to be trolling if you are saying this after one week of SEC play.

And for the record, '22 Mississippi State isn't even the worse defending champion in the last three years.

Travinski is set

Agree. I should've included him in the OP.

As for the middle infield, I do not see the concern some have with Braswell. As for Milam, he looked overmatched vs State's pitching. That's why I think other 2B options might be considered.

I think for now, you chalk it up to growing pains, but if it continues then maybe you give him some time off and a chance to reset. It happened to Kling last year.

He and Braswell are such a good middle infield and he had a decent start at the plate that you don't just give up on him after one bad weekend on the road.

You think S Carolina was going to put that on the bench?

Why did you think he had power?

Why would LSU recruit a junior SS if he didnt have speed and power?

Because we needed a starting SS and we went out and got one of the better available gloves.

The good thing is Bras will be back next year as a senior so maybe there's still hope for him to prove he's worthy

Braswell is hitting as good or better than he did at South Carolina.

The most common answer will either be a kid that didn't enter the portal until about month after Braswell committed to us (Luke Hill) or a kid that decided where he was going before he hit the portal (Wehiwa Aloy).

There were also a couple guys from small Florida schools that ended up at Florida State, but they committed to Florida State before Braswell was available.

There is also Ali Camarillo at A&M, but I'm pretty sure he also didn't spend more than about a day in the portal.

Either way, we got one of the best available, and he was pretty much handpicked by our coach, so we didn't "settle".

White, Braswell, Milam and Jones are gonna start in the infield for awhile, IMO. The big question marks are the outfield and who you rotate at catcher. And, when Trav catches, who is the DH.

Things aren't as open as y'all think for the infield.

Bingo we have a winner...
