the LSU athletic department has an impressive weather forecasting setup, and they have better information than you and I have on our phone apps. They know more than they pass along to the fans. Very early on during the game 1 Tenn delay, posters were on here saying that they were told the game would start at 9:55pm. That seemed crazy at 7:00, but the first pitch was later scheduled for 9:50 pm and thrown at 9:55pm. They knew they would delay it until the end of the window, but they didn't announce it.
They delayed the game once everyone got to the stadium and they didn't announce their intentions b/c they knew most people would have hauled arse home as opposed to waiting 3.5 hours. Many of us made it through the game and would have done so even if we had known the truth from the beginning.

Consumers want communication. Regardless of how superfluous it is. This is a simple axiom of business. Everybody I was around in that stadium that night was saying the same thing. It was unprofessional. End of story.

Can you explain the fact that Jay said they thought they were going to be able to start around 8? Even told the team to start getting dressed. Then the storm decided to sit for another 90 minutes?
Would you prefer LSU announce at 6:30 that the game was being delayed until 9:55, then start it at 8?
