I have been an huge LSU fan (and still am), but with all of this talent (or so-called talent), what is wrong with the offense?

Why can't we move the ball? Is it the predictable play calling that all the other coaches have figured out?

I just dont see Miles making any adjustments throughout any of the games we have already been through.

No imagination, dumbed down the play book after Crowton and to stubborn to change it after 1-9.

It is obvious to me as an outsider that LSU does not have someone on staff that is capable of developing a QB or understanding how to utilize the talent that LSU has available.

The QB situation is an ongoing problem so it has to be coaching. LSU has top recruits in that position but they never seem to improve. Also, the offensive schemes seem to reamin the same and you just cant do that in this league, you have to be able to change things up.

Just my opinion and I like Coach Miels a lot but I think he needs to make some monor changes. I do not thing the program is a dumpster fire like most of the morons on here. In my opinion LSU still probably has the best defense in college football right now but you can't leave them on the field all day and expect them to win it for you. LSU must have an offense that can move the ball down the field and get first downs and come away with some points in oreder for the defense to win championships.

All is not lost and the season still has a chance for a natty because I think we will all have loses at the end of regular season.

Just my opinion.

For some reason, the guys can't seem to execute the 5-6 core plays of the LSU offense. It's impossible to expect them to be able to execute any more of the playbook when they even do their bread and butter plays.

Where to begin... Inexperienced QB with poor pocket presence, No recievers stepping up in place of Randle, Injured and inexperienced Offensive line, Ball security.

The Offense is going through alot of growing pains obviously. We should have been throwing 30-40 times against North Texas, Idaho, Towson and even Washington. Coaches had chances to get tons of LIVE in-game reps, expose Mett to more looks, and improve chemistry/timing. instead we averaged 22 attempts in those 4 games.

He is set up to fail in this offense! We run nothing to slow down defensive lines, we run no mult option routes, we RARELY run screens, draws, etc

ITS PITIFUL!!!!!!!!! I truly believe Mett would throw for 300 per game at S.C. or another school with REAL offense!

Have you noticed that Gary Danielson call LSU's play when they come to the line of scrimmage. Verne is an idiot but Gary knows exactly what is about to happen every time they line up and that is a fricking problem I don't care what team you are.

1. WR's can't catch. That is the root of all the offensive ineptitude.

2. playbook sucks. Very little misdirection trickery with the offense. The rare occasions when they do this stuff it usually works.

3. Penalties have been a problem this year as well.

That said the playbook and penalties didn't keep us from winning a single game. Had the WR's caught the ball as well they should have we would be undefeated right now.

I like OBJ but his play and Boone's play this weekend cost us the Florida game. How hard is it to NOT field a punt inside the 10! I bet a million dollars my youngest daughter could follow that one simple rule! Drop drop fumble ugghhhhh!!!

The most logical thought I have seen in a long time on this board and its coming from a Gump.

Well put sir.

This is the biggest problem in my opinion. He will not deviate. If you go back and watch the Florida game, LSU's first possession they marched straight down the field and came away with a field goal. Touchdown would have been nice but a field goal is ok after a well planned drive.

Florida adjusted and LSU never moved the ball again the rest of the day and that is ridiculous. No passes to backs out of the backfield in the flats, no big tight end connection for a first down, nothing. You have to mix it up and move the ball or you will lose and Coach has to know that.

They are getting no help from special teams and constantly start drives deep in their own territory. When this happens, the playbook immediately has to be conservative to avoid disastrous turnovers.

The offensive line is falling apart due to injuries, and players are having to switch around and play unfamiliar positions. This results in the line focusing on "plugging holes" instead of blocking their assignment, and blitzing players can easily get through.

The running game has been very inconsistent since Blue got hurt, and they aren't getting any help from the aforementioned line problems.

Last but not least, the receivers are just flat out playing terrible. The closest thing we have to a go-to guy is OBJ, and we all know the problems he's been having.

Simply put, it all just comes down to execution at every position
