I want wlax to go Varsity next. This will add a quality number of female spots in the athletic department.
Adding the sport will be relatively cheap as the soccer stadium would now have Spring use & equipment purchases are minimal. Coaching salaries aren't more than $200,000-$300,000 total.
The next move should be women's rugby as that would the open the door, numbers wise, for mlax &/or men's rugby.

Title IX will make most men's sports impossible.
This is why LSU needs to promote women's lacrosse & rugby or even bring in field hockey. 2 or 3 rosters full of female athletes brings LSU up in the eyes of Title IX compliance opening the door for at least 1 new men's sport on the heels of those 2 or 3 women's sports.
Lacrosse & Field Hockey would bring in an influx of out of state student athletes, both scholarship & non-scholarship. The dollars from out of state non-scholarship players will do a decent job of offsetting a fair amount of the cost of the respective programs while organically increasing the visibility of LSU in a few areas of the country that aren't traditionally "hot beds" for the school by way of recruiting regular students as well as student-athletes across all sports. Primarily the entire eastern seaboard, the mid-to-far northeast & the eastern mid-west. Those areas the the big homes of lacrosse & field hockey. Additionally, lacrosse & field hockey student athletes are historically higher GPA earning individuals-which would be great for the athletic department. On top of that, lacrosse & field hockey players come from upper class families who in turn become quality donors/Boosters.
The current women's soccer stadium is quite the facility & would only require an upgrade/addition of some locker rooms & storage for lacrosse & field hockey equipment. Using the 1 facility for 3 teams would make it the 2nd most versatile sports facility on campus behind the PMAC.
Once you then add men's lacrosse &/or rugby, you have added 2 more low cost sports to the Spring season line up. So then, instead of just early spring basketball & a compete season of baseball/softball (less than 1% of LSU students/fans/Boosters attends any track events, so that doesn't register) you've now got as many as 7-8 Spring sports playing on campus (field hockey is a winter sport) between men's/women's bball, baseball/softball, mlax/wlax, & mrugby/wrugby all adding to ticket sales, concessions, parking, apparel store sales, donor dollars, & SECN/TV coverage. On top of all of that you've made LSU look good in the eyes of the Title IX world.
There's extremely little downside to adding these sports in the next 2-8 years.

Bring BACK LSU Wrestling.
Got to interact with some of the guys who were there at the end of the program.
Fun fact - Syria's lone Summer Olympic medalist was Joe Atiyeh, an LSU wrestler. Unless a Syrian has medaled since then, he may still be the only one. He was a legitimate hero back there. They named their national training center for him.
