what is the factor that is keeping us from consistently dominating?

We could possibly have 8 leave in this draft. We had 9 leave last year. We have the most players in the NFL next to USC but I think talent wise we are debatably number 1. Even in our games this year, you could see each players potential even on defense. We put it on Auburn and A&M. We looked like the better team against Bama in the first half. Why is it we have games like Arkansas or Ole Miss? and last year was the most talented starting roster I think ive seen at LSU but we still had those games. I think yall know where Im going with this.. weve set our program up as a talent pool but lack a stable head coach. I love miles personality as a person but when you want to win each game in the season as we should with our talent and get to the SEC/BCS championship you have to have an in control, stable, respected leader. My reasoning for the 2011 run is Mathieu. He was the leader of that team. He was a figure that gave each player on the field to give it all they had and dominate. Les Miles is a great recruiter/person but I think players have a slight view on him as goofy which leads to not busting their arse in practice and even in games. When we won it all in 07, he was still Les Miles but still earned players respect. Hes lost whatever sharpness he had then and its reflecting on our results. I think hes past his prime in terms of coaching and someone who the players take seriously as a leader needs to step in.

Obvious lack of a killer instinct being instilled from the leadership

Our lack of dominance

Possibly? Sometimes when you treat younger players with such decency, they tend to test the boundaries and can get off focused??

If 8 leave, they are complete fools.
The number of guys leaving LSU these days is above and beyond any school in the history of college football, so it would suggest agent tampering more than anything else. Or signing guys who are so short-sighted that they think getting a contract for $60,000 to sit on the practice squad is a good deal.
I'm struggling to come up with 8. Beckham, Landry, Hill, "freak", Ego, Blue, Hilliard, Rasco? Some of those guys are going to get drafted as high as Michael Ford and play less than Sonic Sam and Brad Wing.

Certainly , Im not a Miles Basher and I preface what Im about to say by stating that Ive been going to Tiger Football games since 1965. I say that to point out that Ive been in Tiger Stadium for Cholly Mac, Jerry STovall, Bill Arnsparger, Mike Archer, Curley Hallman, Gerry DiNardo, Nick Saban and Les Miles tenure. Simply pointing out this fact since some like to say "You want to go back to the Archr, Hallman, Dinardo Years?" , Well my fellow Tiger Fans , Ive been there. All that to simply point out that I think you are own to something OP and as I was talking with a fellow Tiger Fan and good friend yesterday. I said , why is it that under Miles, there will always be one to two games a year, that you leave or watch just absolutely scratching your head on some of the decisions made my Miles. Alan Risher on several post game talks has said the same thing. My friend who is definitely a Miles supporter agreed that there is something in Miles that eventhough happy with our records under him, he does something that absolutley has you questioning his coaching ability.

Mett and Loston are seniors.
If "freak" goes pro and someone picks him early, they are on crack. Don't think Collins is anything special either. If 5 star guys are leaving LSU early because they think it's worth being a 5th rounder, I don't know what to say. It's not happening anywhere else in the country.

I am not a huge fan of Miles, but I thought this year was his best from a standpoint of not making too many boneheaded calls or questionable playing time decisions.

When u get the answer pls secretly tell me.
SOme of you need to look around. Who else is doing better than us? Lets make a list of those that are vs those that arent. And yet we want to fire the coach. Laughable. Who u going to bring in here?
