What is everyone’s opinion on Ty Floyd starting vs Texas, everyone on board?

I’m torn, Hilliard seems like a great option with the amount of pressure there will be on players in a very big game. Hopefully Floyd works out well for the Tigers.

Floyd still has one pitch but it has a lot of movement. I don't have a ton of confidence in Floyd yet but he has a lot of potential

Its a march baseball game. If we win by 20 or lose by 20, it doesnt matter all that much. This fanbase needs to calm down about this game

All I know is that I'll be watching this game while eating some delicious Zachary crawfish.

If Texas plays their best game, who we pitch won't matter. JMO...

I don't see a win tonight no matter whose pitching. Hopefully I'm wrong. If we don't win Sunday, I'll be disappointed.

My guess is that you've seen less than 6 innings of Texas baseball all year, and are going strictly off of that #1 next to their name.

I like you alot, Josh. But, we're about to play the #1 team in the nation. They're the real deal. It's early March and both teams could look alot different by late May and into June, but this is a big game for an LSU team with a new coach and a lot of hype. It may not mean a whole lot in the long run, but I have butterflies.

You are probably right. Too many fans already have LSU down as a loss to Texas. I’m not there yet. Just needed another opinion on our pitchers.

Josh is partially right. Big game. But not the biggest game of even the weekend last night was more important. If we lose to the number 1 team on a neutral field, no one cares in the long run. But lose to Oklahoma then lose again and people start to question things. Last night was way more important than today in terms of the season. Way less for fans. Jay knows this.

IMO Hilliard would be better tonight because Baylor steals a lot.Hilliard is slower to the plate and throws a lot of Curves. Also to be honest Floyd needs to develop other pitches or he is gonna get shellacked by better teams. I would rather Floyd pitch tomorrow for those reasons

That's what they said about OU also. LSU pitchers, combined with the threat of Milazzo kept them in check.

Last night is over. Last night was very important last night. As I said, this may not mean much in the long run but it's a big game tonight.

It's a big game because it's the next one. That's it. Tomorrow isn't as big as today's game is today, but it will be bigger than today's game tomorrow.

That’s kinda of why I preferred Hilliard, the butterflies, that aspect of this game is real!
