But apparently in recent history only Saban and Miles have accomplished this.
Archer? nope
Hallman? nope
Dinardo? nope

Maybe I'm misinterpreting what you mean when you say "built to win"?
Do you not know the differences in the program between now and the archer/hallman/dinardo days?

And you assume the program couldn't return to that level with a shitty coach? Do you think a weight room means you field a good team?

I really hope you are joking. The entire mindset has changed at LSU. From upgrading the facilities to what we are willing to pay coaches.

There are quite a few coaches who could at the very least duplicate what Les Miles did over the course of his employment at LSU..

And do you think this will bring Saban back to LSU? There are I believe 7 other coaches being paid more than Les Miles right now and as far as I'm concerned only 1 is bringing home national championships consistently. All the other coaches are not producing different results than Les Miles that I can see.

The LSU fan base, as a whole, would still fricking suck.

You sir are the moron. Les took the keys to a Ferrari and maintained for a while. The wins have come in spite of the uninspired, undisciplined football his teams always possess. the wins came due to the foundation Saban set and miles ability to continue to recruit. Less has destroyed this foundation and is losing major recruits. With the recruiting down, the talent can no longer hide his obvious coaching deficiencies. now 3 losses will be the norm unless he gets lucky and recruits another tyrann Mathieu to save his sorry arse. I'm in the I'd rather greatness than accepting of mediocrity (3-4 losses) crowd. But the questions becomes, is lsu committed to greatness? Allevas bullshite comments after extending the goofball were mind blowing. The leader leads from the front. Alleva accepts just being in the game while bama AD wants to win the game. And they won the game and will keep winning the game until miles is gone and the mindset changes.
TWB - shhhhhhhhhhhh the pumpers don't want to see reality. They would rather keep their eyes shut and say they didn't see anything, than open their eyes and see the truth.
Unfortunately everything you have said is on point and 100% correct, but the pumpers don't care. Miles can do no wrong. If you can't get your team up to play against Ole Piss when you are coaching at LSU, get the frick out!!!!

Les goes anywhere else he never cracks nine wins again. He's just not that good of a coach.

I would love to sit back and watch the melt down and pull up old post from all the Les haters!!
So you like Les more than LSU. Typical.

Because Fact is none of you can change anything nor have the money to do so..........
Nor does LSU have the money, you're glad about that too.
Sumlin, in spite of what you like to think does not have a big following here among those who think less of Miles, because most folks realize when Manziel goes to the NFL so will A&M's title hopes, whether it's SEC or NC.
I glad you just find it so funny that Miles doesn't have to worry about chasing a NC, or SEC title for that matter because he, and LSU knows the buyout on his contract wouldn't leave much to hire a great coach to replace him, hilarious.

Moot point thanks to LSU being played last season into giving Miles a new deal with a raise and a contract extension through 2019

The buyout is $15 million if Miles is terminated prior to Dec. 31, 2015. $12.9 million for 2016 and 2017. $8.6 million for 2018, and then the buyout drops to $4.3 million for 2019, which is his yearly base salary.
So you really think LSU is going to be able to pay Miles 12.9 million to fire him, and then turn around and pay 5M+ to hire a new coach? uh, no, Alleva pretty much locked LSU in 'til 2019

I remember hearing the SAME shite about why LSU can't bear Bama before, only then it was McClendon and Bryant. Same mentality then and NOW.
