Certainly cant argue with that for the most part. Although in 2006 a one-loss Florida was going to be left out of the BCS in favor of a one-loss USC until USC lost to UCLA. I never understood that, and in that year the SECCG wasnt going to push Florida past USC
bucking fruins.

Yeah but Florida beat Ark too and ended the season with more wins. So Florida's record was going to be better.

quote:Yeah, that's why we're going to West Virginia and Arizona State in coming years, and are in talks with Oklahoma. But y'all go ahead and keep bragging about how y'all scheduled the team that got spanked by the SEC Champs twice in a row.
Dude, Miles is on record as not wanting a home and home with freaking RUTGERS

quote:I don't think he'll ever have the chance. Until I see SC make an offer to play LSU or Florida home and home, it's all just bullshite.
I don't think your AD will pull the trigger

If that happen I look at it like this, They done what they had too, we done what we are too. May the best team win

hello Hawaii...figured since Georgia kicked that arse...yu guys wouldn't have the nerve to comment on anybody else for a while...especially since your coach abandoned yu...

I don't think we really want to play USC. If they win, they will say it settles the 2003 co-championship. I'm just happy with the co- of 2003.

It would be nice to see SC finally play a top level SEC opponent
I thought the entire SEC (minus MSU and Vandy) were tough as nails. LSU fans love to use the argument "if _______ had to play against SEC teams week after week...blah blah blah..."

nah. I think one fan base is stuck on 2003 much more than the other.

Would that be the fan base that actually won the championship game? I wonder why they would be stuck on it?

The best chance for a matchup with USC would be for them to lose the Pac-10 crown, and for us to face them in the Sugar Bowl.

The BCS system works better for the SEC as it is, without difficult games against major BCS powers OOC.
Funny how EVEN with the easier OOC, the SEC STILL constantly plays more ranked teams overall than the PAC 10 teams do.

Plus, even if you blow a game you get a mulligan from the SECCG, like UF did last season.
Yea, and that NEVER works the other way right?
How'd it work out for the SEC team that had an undefeated regular season last year? Did Bama benefit from the "mulligan" of the championship game?

Going off of the current rankings:
USC has 5 ranked opponents
Oregon has 5 ranked opponents
CAL has 3 ranked opponents
Florida has 3 ranked opponents
]
Ole Miss has 2 ranked opponents
LSU has 4 ranked opponents
Alabama has 3 ranked opponents
The top 3 PAC-10 teams have more ranked opponents on their schedule than the top 4 SEC teams.

When was the last full season the average PAC 10 team played more ranked teams than the average SEC team?
That's what I thought.
Thanks for playing.

LOL. Are you ready for this schel? I don't think you are but I will give it to you anyway.
We need to go all the way back to last season. Including bowl games, and the SECCG which of course gives the SEC an advantage in this type of comparison, but so be it.
Last season The PAC-10 played an average of 5.1 ranked teams per team.
The SEC played an average of 3.75 ranked teams per team.
Looks like I can lump you in with all of the espin sheep who just eat up the hype. But when you look at the facts it tells a whole different story.

Correct me if I'm wrong.
The PAC 10 had 3 teams finish in the top 25.
So each PAC 10 team played 2 ranked teams in conference.
So, according to your argument, the AVERAGE PAC 10 team played 3.1 RANKED teams out of conference.
fricking interesting considering they only played 3 out of conference games.
LOLZ at the Ruffalo epic fail.

Looks like Ruff just pwned you shel.
PAC 10 teams on average play a tougher schedule than SEC teams. In and out of conference combined.
Whole schedule.

LOLZ at 5.1 ranked teams per PAC 10 team.

He purports that it is an AVERAGE of both in and out of conference ranked teams on the schedule.
Dang, maybe you should go hang out with lsumatt and get some remediation.
I haven't verified his claims with links n numbers but he is generally accurate with stats.
