So was the Troy loss. All this give O time is B.S.
Troy has been a pain versus Les Miles, Nick Saban and both were frickin lucky to beat em.

Agree ! These fans are like Democrats they love the country but hope for failure so guy in charge is removed. I know for you fans in denial , you going to tell me I don't hope LSU loses . Carry on and don't forget to down vote! I am a fan of whomever is in charge of these young men. Oh almost forgot we have right to talk about our disappointment before it happens or past experience. Hope I did that right

Troy yes; doubtful we win that game in Starkville if the refs still take away a legal TD and eject 2 defensive linemen for clean hits.

That team was one of the most undisciplined teams to start the season I had ever seen. They were averaging like 11 penalties.

Ed didn't have that team ready.

It happens. Sometimes a team may appear jacked and ready only to falter after the kickoff.

Were we ready to play on 1/9?

LSU lost 23 scholarship players that season and Les still had a shot at the west.

We downgraded and it's fricking obvious.

I'd like to know how many that are taking up for les now actually wanted him gone before they fired him and then had signs saying they loved him when they thought he was gonna be fired? Don't miss him now and didn't flinch when alleva announced he wouldn't be back and thought alleva was a bitch for backing out of his decision.
No what ifs, we would still have the same old shite show offense. I'm not sold on O, but I think the offense will be better this year and combined with upgrades/better depth on the lines and the defense we have I think we are gonna prove the analysts/media wrong.

Rememeber back in the day when we dominated baseball. Schools see programs like Alabama having success , so they use that program as blue print for success

He loses to Ole Miss and Arkansas again and is fired after the season. Alleva’s dumb arse still hires Orgeron.

Wait, are you saying you don’t think Miles was to blame for not having the team ready on 1/9???

That team seemed lifeless in warmups and right before kickoff, not saying les didn't have them pumped up but gameplan/schemewise they were set up for failure and then he didn't give them every chance to win by not trying Lee even if it ended up worse, you still lost, at least go down swinging. Wasn't a huge fan of his before that game and he absolutely lost me after that game. As I've said before, I predicted we'd never win another championship with him as coach to my friends and family after that game.

Hey, I liked Coach Miles. A hell of an individual with a 780 winning percentage. If it weren't for saban, Les would still be our coach. But, a little more offensive imagination and maybe we beat bama one or two more times. But I respect Les Miles as a person and a coach, whereas I don't respect saban as a person. IMO.

Les Miles was 75-17 (81.5%) with three West titles, two SEC Championships, a National Title, five 11 win seasons, four top 5 finishes in seven seasons, was 3-2 against Nick Saban and had just completed the first undefeated regular season in 58 years before “that game”.

Your opinion is worthless and should be completely disregarded going forward

ETA: But I do respect the honesty at least. Most people who are content with our current situation are those that simply disliked Miles more than anything and don’t care what happens to the program because they are just happy he is gone.

Most just wont come right out and say it even though it’s plain as day.

Maybe I should have commented that I thought he was a good manager of the program and recruiter I just didn't respect him as an in-game, decision-making coach. He had a plethora of talent that virtually guaranteed him winning 8-9 games minimum a year just by having more talent than other teams and smashing it down their throats. His bullheaded approach and unwillingness is what made me not be a fan of his. He exemplified the meaning of insanity(each year we pounded the ball down people's throats early season and it gave him the sense he'd do it to bama also and they'd prove time and time again that we couldn't do it to them) and yet he kept trying and hoping for a different result, that's insanity. He was a good coach but he wasn't a great coach, like saban. Oh, for the record, he was 3-6 against saban and 5-6 in his 11 years at LSU against bama. I'm not disputing his record, winning % those were good, I just didn't care for him, that doesn't mean I thought he was garbage.

Oh, another thing, I'm not sold on O, just in case you assume by your comments that I'm content with the state of the program. As I've stated before, I would have rathered 3-4 other coaches instead of O.

And yet, as mentioned, before “that game” he had averaged 11 wins a year

Your original comment I was responding to said you “weren’t a fan of his before that game”, I was simply pointing out what a ridiculous position that was at the time.

You also made the comment that you “told my family he would never win another championship after that night”.

I’m guessing you made similar comments that were all over this board throughout 08 and 09 that he would “never beat Saban or Meyer” or win the SEC again.

Yet, he beat them both in 2010 and Saban in 11 (Meyer was gone) and won the SEC in our best regular season of all time and best two and four year streak in history.

So forgive me if I don’t dub you Nostradamus just yet
