Few things that we all know. We all have been told O is a salesman and can sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves.

So why did he not offer Brady the OC job? I understand Brady went to the NFL as an OC and maybe he did offer him the job, but I think he is loyal to E so would say no. Why hire Linehan?

Why not keep Aranda or at the very least, go out and hire the best replacement. No one wanted Pelini other than Youngstown, which is an FCS school.

I know Saban is the best but you have to keep players of need that are from this state at LSU. Can't lose guys to Bama that would start at LSU. Clemson has done it, Georgia has done it, Ohio State has done it. You need to beat Bama on the recruiting trail for sure with instate talent. This is O's bread and butter and Saban is running circles around him.

You lose to Mississippi State and Missouri.

Then all of the optics of the selfies with the young lady.

I understand the guy is human. But never saw this coming...of course in his defense never saw 2019 coming either but it happened.

Go ahead with all the downvotes. I was one that wanted O once Jimbo and Herman were off the board.

Baylor hired him as a HC

Guy came from the NFL and probably wanted to go back...no recruiting could be a reason

Brady and Aranda were leaving period. Brady is a nfl guy, Aranda wanted to be a HC and O wasn't fond of his style anyway.

The big problem is choosing Pelini.

Everyone knew once the NFL came calling Brady was gone. It just happened to be way earlier than expected.

Not saying it was true but heard many in the media say O wanted to run a 4-3 and that wasn't something Aranda wanted to do.

Everyone dealing with Covid. The complacency is the issue which is what I was hinting at.

You are on top of the world. Won't get any easier then now. And O shite the bed. This is worst that what Miles did in 08.

Pretty much. If we still had Aranda or somebody of that Caliber we'd be 4-0.

We have him a huge raise and he left for the NFL.

Aranda left for a HC job at a P5 school.

Pelini was an interesting hire. He was working at Youngstown to frick over Nebraska who was still paying him.

Clemson doesn’t have a single top 10 in-state recruit committed this class. They had zero in the 2020 class, and they had one in the 2019 class. The last time Clemson effectively recruited their own state was 2018, when they got 3 of the top 10 in-state recruits.

In 2020, UGA only got 2 of the top 10 recruits in Georgia - the same number as LSU (including the #1 player in GA) and Alabama. In 2019, UGA got 1 of the top 10 Georgia recruits. LSU also got 1. Bama got 3.

For comparison, LSU currently has 2 of the top 10 LA recruits committed for 2021 (out of only 4 that have committed so far. We got 3 of the top 10 in 2020, and 8 in 2019.

Every player and coach that left from the 2019 team left for something that LSU could not offer. Not sure how this is the end of the world.

If true why would he want to run a defense that wasn't his? O wanted more of a pressure defense that could still happen with a 3-4.

Aranda was offered a great job for his first HC gig

Aranda took an HC position. (a no doubter)

Im sure Brady not having to send a text or call 16-18 year olds everyday is a good reason he took the NFL job.

I understand this is a message board to discuss things but I think there's some sort of coup to post the same dumb questions 50 different ways.
