It seems like in every prediction I have read about this game, the outcome is predicated on the fact that LSU is going to make more mistakes than Alabama.

What if they don't?

What if we play a solid game?

What if we limit Coffee to 1.9 yards per carry?

What if JPW only throws for 150 yards?

What if LSU commits fewer turnovers than Alabama?

If that holds true, LSU wins by more than two touchdowns. I say we still make a couple mistakes, but not nearly as many as we have seen against Florida and Georgia.

People, we're gonna win!

What if I was really fat? Could I fit through doors?

Man, that's a lot of "what ifs".

What's the point of this thread?

The point is that if it comes down to the talent on the field and under the headsets,

LSU wins.

That's just it, 9-for-9 times Bama has done what it must in order to win, and usually quite well in control in those games..

LSU, is 0-2 in games vs high cailber teams in '08, and had to rally from off-the-pace in two other SEC games to win, albeit road games..

LSU is quite capable of winning, but more so than Bama, it's win chances lie with an A-Game that they've yet to exhibit this year..do they have one to give? Will they bring it? Will it be enough?

Yeah, but in games like this, how many times has it come down to that? Not very many.

LSU has to play their asses off for 60 minutes Saturday.

LSU might have more talent in some areas, but Alabama is the better team this year. LSU has to let 'er rip if they want to win.

I don't believe that we have to have our A game to win.

We've played a C- game against a team that played A+ and a B- game against a team that played A.

Bama's good, but their best game is not better than our best game.

I think LSU does need an A-Game to win, even though I feel LSU to be more talented yet greener at crucial spots.

I expect a very good clean effort by Bama, one of if not their best to date, and I do think Bama's best game to be better than LSU's best game, as they are a better and more sound team this year, more dialed-in..we'll see who brings a better game Saturday..

Hopefully LSU!

In truth, neither team has played a full game of solid effort against a quality opponent.

Clemson has been debunked. Stop using that as an example.

Against Georgia, Alabama almost gave the game back in the second half.

LSU can win despite making a few mistakes.

We can't win if we make multiple mistakes, and like we did against Georgia make way more than the opposition.

Top to bottom, we are the better team. They have a better QB (right now), but we're better.

And we're playing at home.

It's gonna be FUN!

How can you Justify that...

True, Georgia almost came back against Bama -- but we BEAT them @ Sanford Stadium, something LSU failed to do AT HOME, in fact, Georgia embarrassed LSU @ Tiger Stadium!

No shite -- that's what seperates a two loss team from an undefeated team!

LSU is not better than Alabama, you might have been the better team last year -- but grow some balls and own up to the fact that LSU isn't the best team in the West this year!

I think we might all be well advised to wait until the end of the season to make that conclusion.

if we're defining it in these terms, we've played a lot of C (USC) and D (MSU, AU) games this year

I say if J. Lee plays a solid game we win.

I definitely blame that georgia loss on Lee.

Talent wise, Bamas got some damn good players albeit young......McClain, Arenas, Cody (even the fat man), Smith, Caldwell, Coffee, Sarah, Jones, etc. Seriously, those kids have played well under the disciplined control of Nick.

LSU is talented but has lacked on the field discipline. AND, make no mistake our young QB has hindered us but our surprisingly confused defense is equally to blame.

If we can get out of this season 9-3 with a bowl victory, we'll be in stride provided Les hires a quality DC. Lee is going to be MUCH better next year and throw Sheppard in the mix among others and 2009 is looking much better. Besides, the schedule looks good too.

...oh, and we WILL committ several mistakes this Saturday. Consistency is our enemy here.

If any team doesn't make mistakes, if any team is perfect, then they will win (unless by some fluke of nature the other team plays flawless as well).
