Apparently Air Force has body restrictions (215 max weight for a 6’6” male and they would actual rather you to be closer to 205). When joining LSU he gained 20 lbs and 5 mph. Going to minors may have gotten him velo faster but obviously Air Force experience has had a great impact on him

Shown me what; that most OP are generic homers who don’t know anything deeper than surface level information they read from other OP?

If tackysweater says it, it must be true!

It used to not be like it is now, but the training, nutrition, and everything in major college baseball is so good these days that it is like playing rookie and A ball. Instead of 3 years riding a bus to nowheresville, you go to school and come out ready to play High A ball. This is a change that has occurred in the last 10 years really, and why if you dont get drafted in the top few rounds after HS, you might as well go to school.

Prospects Live MLB draft writer Joe Doyle released his first 2023 MLB mock draft earlier this week and had the

SF Giants selecting LSU two-way player Paul Skenes with the 14th overall pick.

Doyle explained the selection by writing, "The Giants put so much stock into leadership qualities, makeup and attitude. It may not get any better than Skenes."

Skenes has been one of the most productive players in college baseball over the past two seasons. While Skenes has transferred to LSU for the upcoming season, he attended Air Force over the past two years. He won the Mountain West Freshman of the Year award in 2019 and was selected to an All-American team in both his collegiate seasons. He also won the John Olerud Award in 2022, which goes to the best two-way player in NCAA

Same color as Livvy's dress...huh!

The thought did cross my mind and may have colored my choice of cliches.

No way Skenes becomes stud if he doesn’t transfer to LSU

That is a bit of a stretch.
