I change my mind from 4.20 to 3.96. I didn't realize that the combine is laser time. In track and field races, the runner must react to the starting gun, which takes approximately 0.24 seconds (reaction time). For electronically timed 40-yard dashes, the runner is allowed to start when he wishes. So, I am going with 3.96!

Whatever the record is minus a good bit.If he's smart he will train for that 40 very hard.he could become the talk of the combine with a blazing time.Publicity will only help him.i think he goes on a mission with the 40.If he runs close to a sub 4 then he will be on every sports channel in the country.#1 highlght that day and week.

No matter how fast he runs, 40 speed is overrated. Trin realied on straight line speed and never learned how to set up blockers and seethe field.

Nah....I think people pretty much expect him to post a blazing time.

.....and this is why he'll probably never play in the NFL. He'd have a much better shot if he was .2 slower in the 40 but knew how to shift, avoid tackles and change direction. Trindon rarely made plays because every quick SEC defender on the edge took a conservative angle and just ran as fast as he could because they knew Trindon was just going to try to outrun him.

True, but that's not the issue that they're discussing on this thread.

Seriously? He never made plays? Those quick SEC defenders you speak of often could catch Trindon, but he was 10 nyards down the field. He is definitely a weapon that the NFL will want.
