Maybe it isn't the case now, but for a while it seemed Bama constantly had a mature team. Few players left early and they were content to sit the bench a while. 5 star seniors were replaced by 5 star juniors. Also, I think Saban recruits more size while LSU has focused on speed. Which would explain why LSU often fared better against spread teams with mobile QBs.

Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner.

Check out the Bama roster and see where all their OL's hail from.

BTW, our good friend from Hernando Mississippi is starting for Bama this season on the OL!

As a guy with a grad degree in exercise physiology, I was laughing and thinking the same thing.

If these morons only knew how respected Tommy Moffitt is, they'd never form their lips to spew this nonsense.

Defensive lineman and linebackers are "gassed" mainly because they're shorthanded. Their conditioning is fine. They're just playing more minutes than they should be playing.

Exactly we were down one defensive lineman until halftime. Lawrence was limited in playing time with an injury. Ed Alexander and Frank Herron out. Donnie Alexander out until halftime. Ed Paris out. John Battle injured and had to come out. Our rotations were very limited. Of course the team was tired. I know we are LSU and all but if you think being hampered by injuries and lack of depth and having a very young team are not valid reasons why we should struggle then you are fooling yourselves. The sky is not falling this happens from time to time.

The Moffitt Tree is old and outdated. Cochran and others have stronger guys who are more talented to start with, and they are all strong. Heck Najee Harris looks like a LB and must have put on 15 pounds from the All Star game. Maybe they are using performance enhancers

Superior athelets make great coaches, simple as that. It's not the x s & o s, it's the Jimmy's & Joe's. Just ask dabo, Nick.

Yeah the big problem seems to be Les didn't think it was important to recruit big strong linemen for playing power football.

It's honestly very noticeable. We don't look physically good, and sure as Hell aren't mentally good

No one is hard to replace. Replacing them with someone better is pretty difficult.
