What does our starting rotation look like next year?

Marceaux and Hilliard are gone I would think. We basically need a whole new rotation. Hellmers and Coleman are decent but not top notch SEC talent IMO.

The next coach better find a JUCO arm otherwise this team is doomed for next year too. Unless some freshman phenom shows up Ala Aaron Nola

I don’t know who we have coming in, but there’s no Marceaux, Labas, or Hill on this team. No one with a swing and miss breaking ball. Better hope we get all our hitters back and just mash the ball.

Agreed. We better pull some rabbits out because starting pitching is nowhere to be found for next year as of now. But I don’t know what we have coming in from a recruiting standpoint

Labas isn’t back? Otherwise I’m guessing Coleman, Kurdna, & Hellmers.

But the draft hasn’t even happened yet so it’s way too early to think about yet

Depends on who can separate from the pack. Floyd, Coleman, Edwards, and Hellmers all have very high ceilings and have shown flashes this year.

Ty Floyd has 39 Ks in 24 IP.

Coleman has 43Ks in 32 IP.

Both can be Friday night/Saturday night guys if they develop.

Coleman, Floyd, Edwards, and Hellmers. And the freshmen. We'll be ok.

No reason to think Coleman doesn’t. He improved over the course of the season. Pitching isn’t as doom and gloom as it feels coming off a super regional sweep.

Maybe a new coach brings in a couple of pictures that he recruited for the school he is coaching now.

Plenty of arms and talent available, we need someone not named Dunn to develop them.

If Coleman adds 1-2 tics on his fastball, he can be your Friday night starter. Has the frame to fill out just a little while maintaining his looseness in delivery

Floyd has got to be able to throw another pitch besides his fastball for a strike. My guess is his fastball has the best spin rate on the team, and when he throws it for strikes up in the zone it’s extremely tough to square up.

Idk. Just goes to show how badly Paul had let this team go in recruiting. That Coleman kid looked good at times as a freshman.

I really like Coleman. I think as he develops he’s gonna be great for us same with Floyd
