What do you want to see improvement wise tomorrow?

For me, no big plays on defense and improved LB play (no missed gap assignments). If that wasn’t worked on 5 days this week I will be thoroughly let down

On offense, I’d like to see an established run game with different designed runs before we go pass heavy. Make the O line suck it up and figure it out.

ZERO blown coverages by linebackers and safeties

100 yards rushing from scrimmage

Zero sacks while on offense

Fewer drops by WR

Fewer yards before and after contact by opposing running backs

I want to see linebackers attacking their gaps and fitting up. I would like to see some TFL from LBs.

Offense - No huddle offense, screens, outside runs, correct pass blocks assignments, RPO

In the interest of intellectual honesty can anything that happens tomorrow against McNeese be placed in "improved" column?

This game will show us nothing as far as improvements. LSU should be able to go out and beat McNeese by 30 with no improvements from last week.

CMU and then State will tell the tale of what this season will be.

I want to see Clark and Harris on the bench, and I want to see Mike Jones, Sampah, and Penn on the field

The only possible positive take away from tmrw would be if it’s utter domination on both sides. A shutout on defense plus 40+ points somewhere midway through the 3rd quarter. Lots of TFLs on D, no big plays, hits on the QB and on offense fewer than 5 negative run plays, 70+ Comp%, chunk plays, no turnovers and only a couple penalties at most. Attitude needs to be as if we’re playing Bama not going through the motions of a rent a win.

1 coaching
2 blocking
3 tackling

Does it get any worse than that?

Yeah because if it isn’t corrected/improved by tomorrow, it won’t get corrected the rest of the season as each week gets tougher.

Todd Harris better be riding pine all game. Kid hasn’t figured it out in 7 years here. I’m not shitting on the kid, he just can’t compete on this level and has had too many opportunities to prove it.

Pipe dream on blitzes. Clark can’t even figure out which gap to cover and there’s like 3 to choose from

Seriously. It's McNeese. Any perceived "improvement" is fool's gold.

We won't know if this team truly improved until we get into SEC play.
