If the SEC was willing to make a knee jerk decision with that much money at stake without careful and considerable deliberation that shows that the leadership at the SEC is immature.

That vote would have been tabled. No one would want to go on record to expel.

FEAR.

The fact that LSU was not going to attempt to stop the meeting tells me that Sankey did not have enough votes.

They will have to find some other avenue. Per the TRO, the SEC will be in contempt if they punish LSU in any way.

These sanctimonious hypocrites were out for blood. They may settle for a pound of flesh or nothing. But the daggers are out and they’re aimed at Landry and Rousse as much as Kiffin and Wade.

Don’t think that Rousse and possibly Landry weren’t told by influential people: donors, business leaders, TAF folks, etc that the consequences were too great to imperil LSU, its finances and the finances of the community.

This isn’t electoral politics or a pissing contest. It’s much dirtier and vicious.

I think Stanky would have been totally embarrassed. A positive vote would give the SEC uncontrolled power. The other universities would be afraid of future “uncontrolled power” used against them.

Texas?
You mean to tell me that Texas would have the gall to boot us out?
We have been here for 94 years and they just got here after escaping that Mickey Mouse conference they were in.
They should be thrilled to just be in a major conference.
