More often than not he looked completely out of place at the plate and often got fooled very badly. He also had about as many Ks as hits.

never in my life have I seen anyone bash the #2 team in the country as much as a bunch of you guys on this board. It's quite comical

How is Landry doing any better? Helenihi? Face it, he has a chance to get in the lineup when he comes back.

I think CJ is overrated as a baseball player on this board. Big time
Good thing you aren't a talent scout for the MLB cause apparently they saw differently.

Me saying he is overrated doesn't mean I think he isn't talented. MLB draft is based on mostly potential anyways.

Landry isn't hitting worth crap right now, but he isn't a liability in the outfield. I have never been a fan of Helenihi, who has now had his position taken by two different true freshmen.

Jones is a phenomenal athlete who could be a special baseball player if he could dedicate enough time to it. Right now he can't. But that wouldn't stop him from getting drafted because of what you said about MLB drafting on potential.

He had a bad night on a very windy night in the field.. granted it was a very bad night however he also made a very good catch that saved 2 or 3 runs against ULL i think... i dont think we have seen enough to call him a liability

the quality of pitching Mahtook faced just this weekend far surpasses what Jones faced before he left for spring practice.

I just think Gaudet's senior leadership would have been worth more, if you add up all factors.

No I'm not related to Gaudet. My son is a ball player at another college and he has a better swing than Jones.

What if his back still hurt, and he wasn't swinging the stick well in practice?

he was only in the program for one year, it's not like he was program guy like Haydel, McGhee or Pontiff.

i agree but a lot of Mahtook's Ks took place in the early part of the season against that inferior pitching. Im not arguing that CJ should replace Mikie or anything... im just saying that CJ's hits vs Ks is not a strong argument against him

I wasn't bashing anyone, so I don't know why that was directed at me
