We have all bitched about how terrible the team executed their game plan for the last two days.

With all that went wrong for this team, what the hell do you correct first?

Backyard offense football? Out of place defense? Missed tackles? Terrible special teams play?

We will see what Brian Kelly is made of. If that man can get this team out of this mess before conference play, then he’s worth that 10M/yr.

Blocking assignments. We may not have the skills yet to win the one on one battles, but let’s at least pick up the right defenders.

This was day 1 stuff that shouldn't even need to be fixed.

Limit all these "check with me" and let Jayden run a more up tempo offense. It doesn't have to 2-minute hurry up, but it needs to be closer to 8-minute 4th quarter level...but throughout the game.

Blocking. Protection. Need some running game besides the qb.

Special Teams has to improve ASAP. Game could of been won if they played worth a damn.

Next is finding a replacement RT.

the offense...a running game that consists of runs by running backs, the short passing game, and blocking

Missed tackles and special teams play should be easiest to fix first. Terrible situation that they have to be fixed, as this should be technique football and is usually taught in middle school. But it's on coaching to make sure that the team has this box checked in fall camp.

Ideally, yes. But given they were horrible the other night and cost LSU game (frankly, they should have have resulted in a FSU blowout if the convert on either fumble), that has to be priority #1.

Ramos MIGHT be a solid kicker. Who knows? But it's tough to be successful when the blocking up front his horrible.

Nabors is not a return man. Set a aside the fumbled punts. He was bad on KO returns. Remember, FSU kicked two out of bounds in the game. On the two Nabors returned he looked VERY hesitant. Good return men are instinctual. They can see the running lanes quickly and make moves to get in them...sometimes while they are getting ready to catch the kick. Nabors obviously didn't look comfortable fielding the punts...and he was unsure of where to run on the KO returns.

LSU is likely going to find themselves in several tight games this year. That means their margin for error might be pretty small and they can't continuously give away possessions and opportunities for points because of terrible special teams play. LSU gave away two possessions (Nabors fumbles) and a chance for 4 points with the two blocked kicks.

1)FG / PAT blocking assignments.
2) OL blocking (pass & run)
3) QB read and recognition, know the check down hot routes.
4) tackling
5) someone besides BJ Ojulari needs to step up and be a leader

Correcting Offense, Defense and Special Teams is not mutually exclusive. I expect the whole team to improve.

You think offense is first thing that needs to be corrected over defense and special teams? Special teams was a disaster and defense couldn’t get off field on third downs.

The offense moved the ball well right from the start of the game. People have convinced themselves the offense was trash because of some mistakes by center and a wr. O-line is a problem, but offense will be fine.

Someone should tell Cam Wire to keep his arms out together (instead of swinging them wildly)……he constantly lost contain due to swim moves by the dt...Will Campbell made this mistake as well on a couple of plays…..keep your arms forwards and use your leg power to move your man where you want him to go…..do some squats…..hit those dummy blocker things with arms out….

Initiate contact and drive that dude back and away…..
