Lose 4 of 5 starters

But don’t worry, I’m sure they will be hyped up in the preseason to be a great unit.

Honestly it’s hard to say. With the players eligible to leave for the NFL, 2025 was always looking like a rebuild year.

There was hope based on the 25 recruiting class, but now that’s in doubt.

Now, if we keep transfers to a minimum and use NIL money to recruit the current roster, particularly the 2 OTs and somehow convince them and Nuss to stay. Then get a couple hits in the portal, we could still make a playoff run next year.

Some of the guys who are out of eligibility will not be missed and we will probably be better without them.

Problem is I have zero faith that any of that will happen.

Qb- if nuss back, 2nd yr under belt, and led sec in yards and tds in yr 1. If he goes nfl, portal or Collins and drop-off likely. Potential better if nuss stays, regression if leaves (if it's a running qb, could add elements to improve short yardage, red zone).

Rb- durham that dude day 1, Jackson lose 8 lbs, #1 and top 15 rbs coming in. Improvement

Wr- if daniels, Anderson, zavion are back, have parker/ Sampson/ billiot or portal to add to these proven guys. Elite Portal if there.

Te- mason goes, have green and pimpton, + 6'6 255 true fr to block.

Oline- concern , need to hold 2 kids have, getting #1 ot would be amazing, but hopefully see portal at c and t or g. Move Chester to LG. Adams, Chester, echols, mubenga or portal, westkn davis. Calloway, ory, borderlin backups. Will regress pass, could improve run game.

De- reliford and womack, 2 elite des coming in as fr. Should be similar production. Reliford will be similar to jones, and womack to swinson.

Dt- everyone back except paez. Adding big elite dt and 3 depth guys. If add 5 star Stewart this position goes from hold it together with glue (credit to all these guys this yr), to a strength in 1 yr. Guillory, shone, breaux, mckinley, suggs, 4 fr.

Lb- weeks, weeks, keys, atkins, 2 elite fr. Better from what keys has shown in flashes, simply because penn does so little and gives up so much. And weeks starts game 1, not 3-4, games in. Ross and baker are dudes coming in. Portal 1 yr guy if shows itself.

Cb- everyone who's played is back besides Alexander, and add 2 5 stars, and elite nickel db in state cb. Massive upgrade if keep Pickett commited.

S- add 3 versatile guys, gilbert likely back, along with Jackson, spears, toviano, singleton. Group can't be worse, and will be competitive sprinf and summer competition. Idle to improved. Portal insert is key here.

Almost every freshman in this class is enrolling in the spring. The roster will finally be right sized from a depth position.

You really can't make those type of predictions in today's world. We have no idea what the roster looks like after the offseason.

also a lot of talks of Perk coming back next year. Will definitely have to see on that one but would be huge if so.

7 may be lucky with this away schedule.
BK and his coaches are unable to get the team to even start playing in half the games. Never seen a multi-year pattern of teams unprepared to step on the field in so many games during a season.
