re: What did Vitello do to upset the rant?

Literally nobody here would say anything about how Vitello acts if he is wearing purple and gold. It's all about the fact that he is sitting in the other dugout.
Yeah, because no one has ever criticized Mainieri's behavior. LITERALLY no one called him a "*ussy" for complaining about Tennessee fans (something I was completely unaware of until yesterday).
Your narrative needs work.

Strong words. Let's see if your team can back up your talk.

It was coming a flood and lighting started. game should have been delayed for that home run. I was actually at the game and play should have suspended before then. Water was puddling up on the mound at that point.

I think with Vitello- the post game confrontation with DVH prob made many of us pay a little more attention to his behavior. Prob made us little more critical of his challenges/complaints.
Doesn't help when we have gone 0-4 against him either.

Did you miss something last night or the last 4 games?

Nope. Did I miss the future, or have you already been there?

Vitello should be the choice. If he is a prick like some on this board say, that would be a plus in my book

LSU isn’t a baseball school anymore. But they did just win track and field natty. Go hang your hat on that because your not going to Omaha this year just and your football team will be around .500 again and Farmer Fran will be gone.

Hmmm. What other SEC coach have we seen like that over the years?

Oh, I see. You're one of "those" people, who have no self awareness. We're in a down year, and still in the super regionals, and your baseball team hasn't won jack.. Ever. But you think we're not a baseball school.
And whatever my football team does, rest assured, will be better than anything your team has done in about 20 years. Maybe your school can go hire a new coach that your fans can run off immediately, hmmm? That sounds like a fun time.
I'll leave you to it.

He was engaged in the game. He held the umps feet to the fire, maybe even intimidated them a bit. He demonstrably had his players backs. But since he was our opponent he is a crybaby. I would love a coach like him.

Actually, very often people on here complain because he isn't acting like Vitello. Isn't sticking up for his players, doesn't ask for a review, etc.

They called him that for apologizing for complaining about them.

Eh, somebodies does but I don't think it's the guy you are responding too

See this is what UT fans used to do when we had a bad year in football, we talked about the history. Now LSU baseball can’t come to reality that they are having a bad year and next year will be a bad year also and then have to go with y’all’s 5 or 6 choice for a coach. It’s amazing how LSU is such a baseball powerhouse that y’all are having trouble finding a coach right now.

Does Nick Saban count?

I feel like I don’t even remember the challenges he took (I guess because they weren’t that close)
The HBP that he challenged was dumb. The other was a bang/bang play at first that was extremely close.
I'd take Vitello over Paul any day of the week.

And everyone else complains that he's whining/sulking about something not going his way. Or did you think yelling at the umpires was the only thing people are talking about when they say Vitello is a whiner? Try harder with your fact checking, friend.

That's what SOME people complained about. Lots of others complained about the fact that he ever whined about the fans, in the first place. Again, try harder with your fact checking.

You're half right. It's both him and you now. Not just the one.

Are you actively trying to win an award for the most ignorant poster of the year?
UT football has been irrelevant most of the last two decades. LSU is having a bad year, for them, and they are still further than your team had previously been since 2005. Think about that. Your monumental achievement over 15 years is equal to one disappointing year for LSU (unless they keep the run going).
And you compare that to your situation with UT football? Guy, I didn't even say anything about LSU HISTORY. I said we're in a down year and still in the supers, while your team has never won anything. You saying LSU isn't a baseball school anymore is the highest level of trolling.
Lastly, what makes you think LSU is having a hard time finding a coach? The season hasn't ended yet. The only guys who are off the table are Schlossnagle, who I don't think was ever the top choice, and O'Sullivan, because LSU doesn't want him.
Everyone else is still in play. But nice try.

Vitello did exactly what LSU fans expect of a baseball coach, and the rant melts down.
All he did was protect his teams interest and fight for it.

So when a coach turns you down it’s all of sudden LSU don’t want. Lol. Sully turned it down, Casey interviewed and looks like that won’t happen either and Schloss not available also. I would say your your working on your 4th choice now.
