He just told you we tried that to the extent we would not get the QB killed.

You can NOT I repeat NOT be one dimensional vs Bama. If you can't win at the line of scrimmage to the extent they respect the run game you are done.

Less talented in what respect? We have had a lot of skill at RB and WR, but not often had the whole package. Oline, QB, RB, WR, and the scheme.

Saban has put 11 DB's in the NFL and that is not counting his 07 year.

To say there DB's are not strong is false. Not to mention how well they play bump and run. So short passes are hard to complete without great WR's getting separation.

Stop trying to pass. It has gotten worse since we got smart.

We barely tried to rush the ball up the middle. I'm so sick of people repeating the same dumb shite

Throw a few jump balls to Steph Sullivan since you know, he is 6’6

Because we knew we couldn’t.

I know that, I'm responding to someone who said that's all we tried

They scored 29 and our offense couldn’t stay on the field. Imagine if we had scored once or twice this thing is probably like 22-14

Given who we had to work with and our level of inexperience and/or talent level vis a vis the competition I would say the center fake snap take off with the ball play where the center hikes the ball to the QB, who then just gives it straight back to the center (center just hits the QB's hands with the ball, the QB never actually takes possession) then the center tucks the ball under his shirt and takes off running with the ball towards the goal line while the QB and everyone else just acts like they are still trying to get the play straight and haven't actually gotton the play off and are confused as to the play call.

I’d run almost exclusively RPO, inside traps, screens, and flood combos against their matchup zone

I would say to force their big LBers to play in space vs a RB/WR in the open field and in pass coverage on short, quick routes out the backfield and from the slot.

But in order to do that, we’ve got to be able to protect our QB vs 4 DL / pass rushers without keeping a RB / TE in to help block. It all starts up front, especially vs Bama.

play calls reflect what has happened the past 3 seasons in our lines get absolutely destroyed. you cant do fancy shite when your OL is getting embarrassed.
Id like to see us block on the OL enough to give Joe time to go through all of his reads let the UA corners live on their islands imo its the only way to beat Bama.

No Huddle Offense. Saban substitutes a lot based on down and distance. Keep their 11st and 10 players on the field.
