What can we expect out of the LB rotation this fall?

I figure that Omar Speights and Harold Perkins will be the two starters at linebacker. After that, it's Greg Penn and Weeks brothers. After that, I believe Christian Brathwaite is the only other scholarship linebacker.

That's really not much depth there. How do y'all see the snaps being broken up?

Perkins will be on the field A LOT and rightfully so.

Perkins + Speights as starters

If you move Perkins down on the edge you'll probably see Penn sub in in the middle in the beginning of the season.

I think by the end of the season the younger Weeks Brother will be getting a lot of playing time. Whether that be in the middle, off the edge, or in a hybrid nickel/LB role.

That's the one position I would worry about injuries
A lot depends on how you use Perkins and than you fill in the rest
Speights and Penn will be counted on a lot
I know it was only a spring game but Whit Weeks is better than West and will see a lot of time
Wom't know much on Brathwaite till fall camp but he did play with Perkins in high school and likely will have a similar trajectory as he learns his way

In this day and age though, only two lb's are usually on the field at times

Remember 90 percent of snaps last year we had two linebackers or less on the field.

Speights, Perkins and Penn will be co-starters basically because Perkins moves around so much and plays on that edge spot often.

I'm excited to see what younger Weeks might provide, he looks like a future star himself. He'll certainly grab a starting spot in 2024 it feels like.

I think thats a capable 3 deep and not overly concerning. Seems like you have the snap priority, or depth, correct though. If injuries hit, we may see an extra box safety thrown in there or something?

Perkins needs to be on the field more than he was last year.
