How about Clempsun's inability to win an opener? They've lost the last 4 out of 5, three straight.
in 2023, they went into Duke ranked 9th and lost 28-7. A 7-5 Duke team.
They totalled 20 points across the past 3 openers.

If you watched the game, he was terrible in the first half, got warmed up in the 2nd.
SMU's passing defense was 135th last year, gave up almost 300 per game.
And it was a home game for Vizzina / Clempsun.
So not the challenge he'll face tomorrow on the road, at night, against a Blake Baker defense.

I definitely get that line of thought and agree. But chances of a true freshman stepping in to THAT environment and lighting it up, I would say is a long shot at best. Therefore, I like our chances.

Will Heldt and Sammy brown are pretty good, so is TJ Moore and Bryant Wesco at WR. They are extremely weak at DT which is exactly where we need to run through a mother fricker’s face tomorrow

We don't know if they are good.
That backup QB is a true freshman, was a 3 star. Threw a pick 6 during one of their scrimmages. I say let him play in the real Death Valley.
Their Oline is nearly completely revamped. That is the matchup I want to see most - our Dline against their Oline with three new starters (not transfers w experience like us). And their left tackle played guard there last year, not tackle.
And of course, their Oline coach is Matt Luke, Ole Piss failed HC.

I look at it this way. With a senior NFL caliber QB and a better team overall last year they go 7-5 and they only score 10 points at home against an LSU team with no Oline and an injured QB. Now we have exponentially more offensive talent than last year and and defensively we have improved overall talent wise. So I'm finding it hard to find anything to worry about from Clemson tomorrow. The only thing that can hold LSU back from rolling over Clemson is LSU shooting itself in the foot with turnovers and penalties. Other than that I don't worry about Clemson.
