Also implied the Reid INT was an obvious blown call.

Lou Holtz also said that the only thing we learned was that LSU's kicker is better than Bama's. I want Granny Holtz to tell me how many times his kicker made 4 field goals of 44, 49, 50, and 52 yards in a game? LSU kicked chip shot field goals, even shorter than an extra point. Bama couldn't break into LSU's red zone.

- "JJ with the option is nessecary."
- "Boring game"
- "Reid interception was a clear reception by receiver."

I guess hitting one nail with three swings of a hammer isn't bad.

Just don't hit any fingers.

I'm starting to really like the old dude, but mainly for harmless entertainment on those Final Verdict segments.

Still, it's not hard even for Dr Lou to figure out:

If Bama puts 8 in the box against Lee/RB/TE/FB/OL, it's technically 8-on-8 because Lee is not a running threat.

If Bama puts 8 on JJ/RB/TE/FB/OL, we have 9 guys against their eight.

no he flat out said that it was not an int. He was mad because once again he was wrong about the prediction.

Here is what I said FWIW:
re: If JJ is going to play (Posted on 10/23/11 at 9:46 a.m. to ShortyRob)

JJ will beat Bama. He has a 160 Qb rating against them with zero turn overs over the last 2 seasons. He had them beat in 09 and beat them in 10. Les has been holding him back IMO.

But Bama didn't have to put 8 in the box to stop our run. That's why Lee couldn't hit any passes on Bama. In our "I formation" they had corners pressing, and funneling our wr's to their safeties to play over the top. Basically they had both wideouts double covered. Meanwhile, the other 7 guys could flat out stuff our running game. Very impressive.

Meanwhile, LSU's corners were so much better than Bama's wr's that we could play them straight up man to man and commit 8 or 9 to stop Bama's running game, which we were decent at doing, well better than anybody else this year.
