Nick Saban (or Gus or Spurrier, etc etc) would be ticked off if their team barely escaped at home against an 0-8 Arkansas team. They expect their teams to play better than that. I wouldn't be so proud of a guy who is supposed to be elite being so happy to barely beat Arkansas.

Agree with this. Les' apparent satisfaction with his teams dismal performance against a winless conf. rival isn't endearing to me. While Saban may be an arrogant arse, at least he demonstrates a comprehension of his teams performance and events on the field. CLM looks removed from the whole thing- during the game and in his presser. It may be cute and endearing on occasion, but I'd prefer Les be more contrite given this game as opposed to his usual goofy self

All Pumpers have VERY LOW standards of excellence. They're satisfied with anything and everything. They have an excuse and defend anything and everything. Anything and everything Les Miles does is fine. Doesn't matter what happens during the season. They're satisfied. I'm glad they're in the gross minority of the fan base.

The best coach in all of cfb loses to a less talented team every year, usually in his stadium. Since 2010 bama has .568 win % in November. Facts.

In light of the game ending with big plays made by the future qb of the program and the emotions of senior day as well as losing mett and beckham to injuries, I have no problem with Les's reaction.

Oh I see. So like Alabama saying they played like shite and auburn is lucky, we should bash our guys instead of tipping the hat to Arkansas and saying they played hard and gave us a fight.

Yep... and the fact that "the boot" meant 100x more to them(the only thing for an 0-8 team to salvage a season) as it does to the tigers made it just that more sweet when it was taken from the jubilant Hogs grasp in the closing minutes of the game with a freshman QB inside the 1yrd line.

I'll paraphrase what I said earlier in this thread. You guys have got to be truly miserable to bitch about a coach not bitching about his teams performance in a close fought battle they won.
Les was great. When he could have bitched and moaned like your Lord Saban, he did the right thing and praised his team.
But you can be as miserable as you want to be.

pump the brakes kid! We obviously dont share the same perspective of CLM's pressers (nor CLM for that matter). You saw a coach praising his team for

I see a coach who is trying to spin/rewrite his teams woeful performance. The game should have never been a close fought battle. The only reason anyone is celebrating anything is because three freshman pulled CLM's arse out of the grease. And for that CLM says he would never have imagined those players pulling it off (I'm paraphrasing here). Am I to imply he didn't believe his future starting QB could do it? This game should have never been in doubt- nor any of the other close games we've had.
As for "your Lord Saban", at least he exhibits some sense of disgust with a loss or poor performance. I dont know that I've ever seen Less do this publicly and I doubt he does so privately. IMO, thats why we struggle. CLM doesn't realize it does matter how you win.
I'm not bitching about CLM not bitching about his team's performance. I'm happily observing that the man never seems to notice how poorly his team plays. If my objectivity makes you think i'm miserable, so be it.

Anyone who knows what can happen in a rival game (whether it's high school, college or professional) knows how fricking pathetic this comment is. Arky sees us as a rival. A win against us could have ended their season on a high note.
Some of you guys seem pretty stupid being on saban's cock, especially since they lost to auburn.

why is this such a common retort CLM supporters seem to fall back on when a discussion about Les ensues? Many of the CLM supporters resort to this ad hominem attack on CLM's critics. Would it be more palatable for you guys if we compared CLM to Urban or another successful coach?
