If LSU had passed four times, and failed, you would be crucifying them for not running. 
Guys, I know we have a lot of geniuses on here, but we had a staff of men who made a career coaching offense. They had 100 times the information that we have. They made four calls that tool into consideration many things we don’t know, like Mizzou tendencies, strengths and weaknesses that they uncovered in film study.
Sometimes you do your best, and you fail. We lost 18 starters. THAT’s the problem, not play calling.

I would’ve tried to run the ball once.

Why is Palmer on the team if not for his lateral speed? No doubt he could have outrun every Mizz defender to the pylon. There's your play and likely gets a TD.

2X-QB Sneak- I don't think not practicing it is an excuse. MB has to be able to handle that.
2X-Play Action pass- Gilbert or Marshall... Gilbert might have had a hurt shoulder, but I'm pretty sure he could still dominate a smaller player for one play.
