Yeah. The most they scored so far was 31 on Coastal? I don't see them scoring more than 10 on our defense. IMO, MSU's defense is much better than WVU's. If our offense picks up where it left off at the end of the last game, we should be able to score a minimum of 24 points on them. Add this being a home game and right now I would say:

LSU 31 WVU 10

Martin Ward had 100+ yards rushing against WVU.

Marshall is 0-3 having been blown out by Bowling Green 44-28.

Ward got 41 yards on 14 carries against Bowling Green.

LSU >>>>> Marshall.

Ridley >>>>> Ward.

Then their defense should be ok then, right?

OK, forgive me for not being familiar with Marshall. That is really going to help your SOS when the BCS rankings come out.

We don't throw beyond the line of scrimmage.

OK, but Marshall v. WVU is a huge deal to Marshall and they were playing at home with a ton of emotion. They had a 15 point lead with all that on their side and only 8 minutes to play, and WVU still found a way to win. That tells me they have some fire. As we would say, they have a want to compete.

My only point is let's not get too discouraged if we win 24-17 or something like that. I just get the feeling if we only score 24, and JJ puts up another 102 yards with 0 TDs and 1 pick, we'll still be hearing about how horrible we are because WV's defense is horrible. And I don't buy it.

Of course, they have the guy with the best name in college football: Doc Holliday, who was on the WV staff LAST YEAR. He wanted that win real real real bad.

Marshall choked that game away against WVU. They were all over them and allowed WVU to come back and tie it at the end and then WVU won it in overtime.

It's like we're getting lulled to sleep here against a dangerous, ranked team. Just because they had some trouble with a C-USA team doesn't mean that defines them. All schools have those kind of games. A&M needed 21 points in the 4th quarter to get by FIU. Mizzou needed a miracle in the last seconds to beat San Diego State. Just this past week.

SO WHAT!!! That was last week, this is this week.

Oh, well, I shouldn't get upset unless the players and coaches read these boards and think to themselves "Oh, it's only West Virginia. Let's go get a beer."

So it defaults to a 4-3 with one of the 4 being undersized ? Scary

They've got a huge NT who should be a decent challenge for our interior OL.
