Well then our coaches were just the dumbest people on the planet because we literally had the same game plan no matter the fricking opponent.

Probably so. It was more focused on things the opponent did and ways to block it within the play call and what not. Perhaps they'll now look for weaknesses and scheme to exploit them rather than how to implement the same game plan against various defenses.

I got blasted a month ago for asking why we were having all these practice injuries. Tired dead legs.

This is being blown way out of proportion. This won't be the first time they watch film. Come on people.

When a 3rd year offensive linemen says he's never done film study to identify an opponent's tendencies, that's a red flag.

The title of the article:

quote:

LSU players embrace Ed Orgeron's approach of less practice, more film study

More film study, less practice. That is the new approach that they've never done. Film isn't new to them. The OP did a poor job of quoting the context.

Yes, but the oline, particularly the center and tackles are constantly making reads and calls to account for the defenders. The blocking scheme rarely goes off like a blackboard drawing, and the choice of who the length of a slide or pull is determined by the positions and tendencies of the defense.

Seriously, do you people watch football ever?
