who cares? for LSU, it's win and you're in.

This. The rankings between LSU and Bama will be settled on the field. Same with Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. All barring any slip ups against any other teams of course.

Tigers are sitting in a good place.

Why? You'll see in those projected standings that Arkansas is #10. Oregon and certainly WVU aren't in there. And to answer another poster's question, Penn St only has one loss which is why for now the computers love that win too.

I just hope that whoever wins November 5th goes undefeated. I'd hate to have to watch Oklahoma play Wisconsin for the crystal.

Alabama's win over Arkansas is looking better and better.

Our wins over Oregon and WVU look pretty solid at the moment..

MSU dropping off the planet isn't helping

We need UF to win this week..

We need South Carolina to beat Arkansas at Arkansas in a few weeks, otherwise, our game with them will be all the more intense...with massive bowl implications..

Their QB is one confident dude BTW...

I can see Bama at #1 but I expect LSU to debut in the second spot.

if this comes true the most interesting thing is boise at #5. 2 of the first 4 are guaranteed to lose because they play each other so boise, who plays noone will move up to the #3 slot. i think stanford and clemson are getting screwed over by this boise bull shite. the strength of schedule variable is flawed big time.

That ranking can't be right. The data used to gather his rankings is certainly not accurate

According to that website, it shows LSU ranked 5th in the Massey Ratings, giving it only 21 points.

But according to Massey's website, it rankes LSU 2nd, which would give it 24 points not 21 points

Are you retarded? Arkansas is better than WVU and could certainly compete with Oregon. Bama's had a pretty tough schedule themselves up to this point. Relatively speaking. And I think Northwestern St. is what's keeping us below them in the computers. And the fact that Oregon and WVU have yet to beat anybody worth a shite.

It might look like it in Week 6, but it will work itself out. Boise is likely as high as they will ever be in the computers. When the upper teams get into their conference play and Boise is still playing Idaho State, they will get surpassed even by 1-loss BCS teams. Maybe even some 2-loss teams. They are absolutely no threat this year. Schedule sucks too bad. They needed TCU and Georgia to both be great.

Boise is only going to continue to drop in the computers as they play more of their schedule. Happens every year. Their computer numbers are just going to get worse and worse.

Good catch...but I'm glad someone looked it up to verify.

It is right. The Massey rating at #2 isn't his rating used by the BCS. That is all the way to the right. We are #5. The BCS ratings used by each computer cannot include margin of victory, which I am guessing Massey's regular rating (with LSU at #2 does).

If i remember correctly didn't brad edwards of espn say that the computers are putting the Big 12 as the #1 conference ahead of the SEC. This gives oklahoma and Okie St a slight edge in some of the computer rankings for now.

Alabama's wins over arkansas helps because arkansas beat aTm which by the above is in the #1 conference.

But it does not matter in the end it will be

LSU vs WIS/Okie st
