They swept Valparaiso quite easily this weekend. Could be a potential tough weekday matchup if their bats keep going (scored 27 runs this weekend)

HA-HA! We scored 34!!!

j/k

Should be a good game, I'll be there.

ETA: I hope we play well, if we do, it won't be a good game...

i wouldn't call it tough...with that being said, it's baseball, any team can win despite big gaps in talent

Weekday matchups are automatically tougher because of lesser pitchers being used while the normal field guys still play. McNeese didn't show any real weaknesses this weekend.

From what I hear Mcneese doesn't have much talent in the pitching department.

Bradshaw should be a weekend reliever. I believe we will see Matulis or Riedie.

We may see those two in relief this week, but Bradshaw is scheduled to start against McNeese on Wednesday.

Well our pitching has done good so far. We will probably use a lot of ptchers wed espc ones who haven't pitched yet. The kids to watch for are our 3-4 hitters. Lee Orr plays RF and can absolutely crush a baseball (ask tulane fans). Jace peterson plays 2nd and he is a really good hitter. His only drawback is he is our starting SS in football so he misses all fall. You will see him in october next year too. We actually didn't hit the ball that well this past weekend. Valpos friday night pitcher is legit but that's all they had.

Bradshaw's starting. Matulis first out of the pen.

And I knew that without attending an LSU coaches committee meeting.

Me, too. Mainieri said it on his post-game radio show this afternoon.

ETA: Except for the "Matulis first out of the pen" part of your post. Mainieri didn't mention the relievers' order for Wednesday.

Mattulis warmed up in the bullpen for more than two innings today.

He'll be alright.

I really liked him last year, and he was good for a little while. Then it seemed like he freaked out and lost it. Then he didn't make the postseason roster.

Do you know what happened to him?

Chad Jones happened to him.

Is the postseason roster in college smaller than the regular season one like in the MLB?

I think the postseason roster is 25, like SEC weekends.

Matulis was still on the SEC series roster when Chad Jones came back on the team.

So Chad Jones getting a pitching job didn't really keep Matulis off the postseason roster.
