I went to LSU undergrad and post-grad and have been a fan for =40 years. We were "fortunate" in the least. Ask Miles. I bet he will say we were "fortunate."

Whoever thinks we aren't luck is being nieve. Of course we were and have been lucky. But don't make the mistake of thinking good teams don't have luck!!!!
We were luck at times last night and Auburn was lucky we didn't beat them by more all at the same time.

Well, anyone with any concept of college football and the format at which a NC is decided, knows every team or virtually every team that has won a NC, has not only been good, but has also had great luck during the course of the season. That being said we were the better team last night.

Dude, there is a difference between being fortunate and being lucky. Being fortunate is the same as being opportunistic, i.e. taking advantage of opportunities. Being lucky implies you shouldn't have been there in the first place.
Luck wins you the lottery, not football games. What part of the game was based on "luck?" Colt David's 45-yd FG? Or was it the terrible throw from Lee to their DE at the end of the first half? Wouldn't you call that "unlucky?"

These statements totally contradict each other. We are the better team PERIOD. Luck didn't have a damn thing to do with it. Luck is involved when a questionable call goes your way. Luck is involved when the other team bobbles a pass and we are in the right place to catch it. We beat their arse because we have superior talent and depth. case closed.

...you a numb nut...I'll tell you what lucky is...QB rolling left and finding nobody open, barely avoiding a sack, scrambling around back to the right and heaving a 50+ yd pass to wide open receiver after coverage breaks down on the scramble..
THATS "lucky" ....
Also - what is NOT lucky:
-Charles Scott rushing for 130+ yards
-Driving for winning TD with under 4 minutes
-Stuffing Auburnt on 3rd and 3 late. Also on 4th
-3 straight plays for losses, including a sack,
that pushed Auburnt out of FG range late in game
-15 yd sack loss on Auburnt's final gasp drive, forcing 2nd and 25, and essentially ending game.
I ask you - whats "lucky" about that ?

We're lucky we have such a good team. I picked us to go 8-4 this year, and after last night I'm bumping it up to 9-3. But the fact is, we didn't win that game on luck last night. The better team won.

We weren't lucky. The LSU team earned the win. We are early in the season & the tean didn't lose focus. I was proud of the comeback from a 14-3 score at halftime. Geaux Tigers.

I was going to say something similar. There were a number of times that AU "got lucky." Their fumble in the first half that rolled between one of our guys' legs is another example. How about how lucky AU got when Colt David mis-hit the FG attempt in the first half? We could go on and on with this.
