We were destroying teams except for the GOTC and NC game. It wasn't always pretty, but the games were thorough arse whippings by the time they ended.

ETA - I think we were 10-4 against the spread. That's pretty damn good for a team that went 13-1.

The only team in college football history to beat the Rose Bowl champion, the Orange Bowl champion, and the national champion all in the same year.

JJ and Les's love of JJ was a virus that slowly eroded what this team had built up and it all went crashing into the sea.

That's the common way to spin it, but remember we're the team begging for a rematch without JJ in Tuscaloosa.

Going into the first Bama game, JLee was statistically the most efficient QB in the SEC. 14 TDs vs 1 int. It wasn’t real pretty, but it was working.

I still find it mind-boggling how a coach casts all of that aside after one bad performance.

We don't beat Alabama in 2011 without JJ.

this is where my anger towards les began.

the prior 1-2 years, lee had to come in save the day or preserve the day a couple of times due to JJ's inefficiency, yet the following week, was trotted out as the starter.

i was hoping like hell lee would be the starter against i believe middle tenn the following week.......but if i recall, by wed it had been announced JJ won the job back. that first half of that game showed the story the rest of the season.

great D and special teams won the rest of the way, and had saban licking his chops for the rematch.

we don't win in Tuscaloosa without JJ, but Lee deserved to start again after that.

I will still remember a dropped pass by Randle that could have put us up 10-3 at halftime.
