Yes they did they were the 2nd best team in the country. That was the system at the time...#1 vs #2 in the BCS for the title.
I'm not sure how people can be this dumb....I mean it is the same way with the UCF fans this year. UCF is not a champion and isn't deserving of being one. Alabama is the champion today like they were then.
ETA If you want LSU to claim the one in 2011 then that means you must advocate us giving the 2007 one back because we didn't deserve to be there then right?

The game was in doubt til their only garbage touchdown at the end. Don’t buy the Alabama propaganda.
Our offense was stagnant at times throughout the year but the team would take off after a spark from someone. That spark never quite happened.

You are crazy.... that game was basically over after the 1st quarter.... Bama knew they had us at that point..JJ look scared st the LOS and Bama could see it.....

No we should not claim it. I paid a lot of money and the ONLY time the entire game I was excited was when they ran out of the title and they played sandstorm before kickoff. When JJ fumbled the opening drive to punt I knew what was about to happen.

When LSU beat Oklahoma for the National Championship and USC was number 1 in the AP poll, we were the National Champs because we one in the preseason acceptable system. Not USC even through they self claimed the National Championship. Alabama won the National Championship in 2011 according to the preseason accepted system. Don't change the accepted rules after the season.

How were they more deserving? You can argue they were better using the “eyeball” test but their SOS was worse, they didn’t win their division the only thing they had was “quality of loss” which is stupid.
