Except he isn't. I was saying that he was the "safer" option earlier in the year too and that must be why he got the nod, but it just isn't true. Jennings is good for at least one turnover per game so he's actually not the safe option at all.

Prior to the Ole Miss game, Jennings had not turned the ball over in SEC play. Against Bama, the WR slipped/was pushed down, after he had already made his choice to throw the ball.

With that said, I do want to see Harris split a lot of time the next 2 games, and hopefully they open up the position to compete for the bowl game start. Even though I'm a Miles supporter, things like playing time, injuries, and the like, I take a grain of salt on.

It's like you people don't remember Auburn...the kid is talented, but obviously not ready. We should let him get some looks when it makes sense...but like it or not Jennings is still the go to by what has happened on the field.

by using the same metric, what did jennings do in that game?

convert a third down? Nope
score any points? Nope

I do remember jennings playing against new mexico state and having the worst start as an LSU QB that has ever been.

jennings ain't the answer. Is Harris? we don't know

Do you think Harris's performance at Auburn was one that really deserves more playing time now? I think in the future after he catches up with the game he will be the one...but nothing I've seen with his consistency leads me to think he should play over Jennings. Talent isn't enough.

Jennings has played worse ALL season long, especially against INFERIOR competition. Harris is more talented and Jennings is ineffective. If Jennings has not improved and separated himself then you should play the more talented guy period.

How can you hold Harris back just because of one start on the road. Kyle Allen in his first start looked like crap and they never lost to an inferior team at home.. He got another start (regardless the reason) and went on to beat Auburn on the road.. Harris has outplayed Jennings all season long, especially leading the Tigers to a touchdown every time he touched the ball except in the Auburn game.. where neither QB did jack squat. It's time to give Harris a fair shake and the see what you have..

How quickly yall are to bring up Auburn (his first start on the road) but fail to recognize how poorly Jennings has played with far more ample time.. and remember that was his first start on the road.. I absolutely love what Sumlin said of Allen after they beat Auburn when asked who would be their qb once Kenny Trill is back.. He straight up said, "Kyle Allen is our guy" I absolutely love that confidence he places in his quarterback. Les would never say that in fear of hurting his other QB's feelings.. I'm also tired of LSU playing scared to turn the ball over on offense. Let the more talented guy play and show some confidence in him.. Not have him constantly feeling the pressure to be perfect on such short time given.

Before the auburn game everyone said they would be patient with Harris and taking his lumps against a top 5 team on the road.

So he takes his lumps and everyone freaks the frick out.

this is the time when true freshman JJ replaced 2nd year JLee.

If Jennings struggles against Ark like JLee did vs Ole Miss '08 I expect Les to make the switch.

BH=JJ as a freshman. Expect more as a soph.

So CLM made a huge mistake starting him right?

That is Milesese for he can try to win the job next year...

Seriously, outside his immediate family, no one has a want for Harris to start than I... I hope we get to see him "show his considerable wares".

You said it, brother. If this team cannot get legitimate QB production, count on more of the same frustration next year.
