Well, the last time he did that we got blown the frick out, our offense has never looked worse and Harris couldn't even call the correct play in the huddle. So there's that.

Very true... but you also saw what he IS capable of against MS coming in late. So again, we shall see.

Everyone is freaking out but let's put this entire thing into perspective.

Mett rode the bench his first year on campus, even with a full spring.

Harris has played significantly more than mett his first year.

IMO, he'll start when he's ready, and at the latest that's next fall.

Miles said Harris had a chance of playing in the Bama game, too:
quote:

"I think Brandon Harris is improving," LSU coach Les Miles said Wednesday night after practice when asked about Harris. "I think there's a potential of getting him in the game significantly. We're going to play it situationally."

I think Miles says this every week about Harris. I'll be shocked if he plays barring injury or blowout.

Against no pass rush and we don't run that type of offense.

We cannot win consistently (as in this year) without a solid option at QB and A. Jennings is safe, but not solid.

Except he isn't. I was saying that he was the "safer" option earlier in the year too and that must be why he got the nod, but it just isn't true. Jennings is good for at least one turnover per game so he's actually not the safe option at all.

Harris won't transfer. He is a true freshman. I don't understand why so many people really believe Miles intentionally keeps a better guy on the bench. When we through BH out against Auburn, he looked like a true FR. Rohan Davey in his first start as a RS SO looked horrible against Auburn back in '99. Sometimes guys just aren't ready and it does more harm than good to simply throw them out and watch them crumble. BH is going to be great and it sounds like he is getting close to competing against SEC competition. Once Miles plays him and he does well that is not evidence that Miles was wrong and should have been playing him all year.

If we start next year with BH on the bench, he gone imo.

And you know this how?

edit - I see you added IMO. That's fine. I really don't see that, however. He'll eventually beat out AJ (unless AJ really improves).

Did he say the same things about Lee when Jefferson was crapping the bed in 2011? (hint: Yes)

We don't want to believe that, but did Kendell Beckwith improve so dramatically from Fla to Aub that he was given a starting role? Most viewers of the Tigers knew Welter couldn't cut it 19 games prior.

Again, another example of LSU fans and their obsession with discussing the transfer of their own players.

It's fascinating. Almost like many of you are cheering for transfers.

Said the same thing before the Bama game. He got 2 snaps, one due solely due to the Gumps somehow ripping AJ's facemask off his helmet so cleanly they were excused from the usual penalty associated with that act.

So, maybe he gets 3 or 4 for AJ to change handwarmers this week?

Yes, because Miles was the one keeping Beckwith on the bench.

If Harris (or Jennings) starts next year and does well he won't have anything to talk/bitch about on here and thus his life will be empty.
