In the game last night, I think the Badger could have helped to dig us out of the 14-0 deficit just like he saved us multiple times in 2011. With that being said, I'll pose a question, do y'all think LSU will have another defensive player of his stature anytime soon, as in someone who can make a play or two and almost win the game on their own? I think we have a solid secondary but TM7 is a game changer. Is he a generational talent? I feel as if Fournette has potential to come around and be our own game changer on offense but that's going to take time as he works to get better and adjust to the college game.

This Thomas guy on D does TM-like things. I'm not saying he's on TM's level, but he is a very exciting player who could be very explosive.

TM was a rare player - total game changer in big games.

He's very effective when we send him into the opposing backfield, that's for sure. He reminds me also of how we'd utilize Mathieu

No, we really miss Bennie Logan, Michael Brockers and KeKe Mingo on defense.

That was a fricking stout group on the defensive line. Montgomery had his plays too.

I think we miss Tommy Casanova and Nacho Albergamo of defense; and Bert Jones and Kevin Faulk on offense.

Our D has gone soft with too many contain looks. I used to love when we'd send TM on a blitz. It created all kinds of issues. I'd like us to do that more so it's not so predictable.

You'll never see a guy like Mathieu in the next decade.

I keep waiting for that 2011 swag and dominance we had and it's just gonna make us end up in disappointment

Our CBs cannot tackle. Bottom line.

Any d lineman or lb that can stop the run is what this defense is missing

Our CB's shouldn't be the ones making the tackles. That's a sign of an underperformed front 7.

Bruh, Mathieu was an anomaly in CFB. Nobody did the things he did. If you are talking about playmakers and game changers, several guys on the roster have made those type plays this season. The biggest differences or issues is the line play and lack of a good Mike backer. Just think of the MLBs LSU has had in the past...
